Me on stage at this years Health Tech Hub Copenhagen Summit discussing the transformative role of investments in health technology for women's health together with two very powerful women Mette Dyhrberg & Charlotte Nørgaard Langer. What a great event - and this picture is from one of the moments that I actually succeeded in getting the opportunity to say something 😉. Anett Falussy was moderating the debate and I think you had quite an easy task today 😄 This was so amazing, I think you could all feel the power of female health tech founders and investors underlining that we are here to create valuable changes for the healthcare system - not just new health tech products and profit. Some facts: - In 2006 only 4% of VC went to companies with at least one woman decision maker. That percentage had grown to 85% in 2022. - Companies founded / co-founded by women earned 10% higher revenues than male led companies. So as I told the investors in the room: If you invest in us you have a bigger chance of getting more of your money back 😉 Female founders are driving growth in the health care sector and women’s health is a market ripe for disruption and innovation. [#innaxe4eu] 🇩🇰 🔎 Zoom on co-creation in Denmark! 🛠️ From a roundtable organized in Copenhagen to individual meetings with Key Opinion Leaders, the Danish Life Science Cluster brought INNAXE’s major topics to the attention of key health and life science stakeholders. A couple of insights from those interviews and cocreation session: 📌Approval for an international cluster2cluster collaboration for joint actions in the 9 major topics like MedTech, digital health, public procurement but also and importantly for equity in health; 📌Cascade funding calls as a tool for investment in the field of public procurement with hospitals pitching their needs to ignite innovation power before the calls; 📌Equity in health: there is a huge geopolitical driver in Europe to lift the quality healthcare in all countries to the same level. Lack of equity can be used as a powerhouse to generate new generation technologies with more adequate pricing models. Good health is an asset that can create enormous benefits for people, societies, economies and the planet. Prominent speakers from business, policy and academia were able to connect during the 5th edition of the European Health Summit. Biotech will be at the heart of the European debate for the next five years, as President Ursula Von der Leyen has announced a Biotech Act to be issued in 2025 Under the theme of “ Gold Medal Mindset: Competitiveness and Sustainability in the Tech Age” the Summit delved into the current and future array of challenges and opportunities within: • Digital health: how advancements in digital health could re-define and re-engineer the tools needed to create a healthier future • Access to innovation: explore innovative approaches to increase access to innovation and early treatment • Attract life science investments in EU: translate the European scientific knowledge into economic value at the same rate as the US boosting private/public funds available for start-up & scale-up A great opportunity to discuss and exchange views and best practices with the most relevant stakeholders

Reflecting on the recent 🇨🇭 SWISS BIOTECH DAY 2024, I'm filled with gratitude for the dynamic exchange of ideas and the vibrant energy that characterized the event. It was a pleasure to reconnect with many familiar faces and equally exciting to meet new ones, each bringing unique insights and passion to the discussions. I look forward to next year’s event, hoping to see even more colleagues whom I missed this time around. The mix of reunions and fresh introductions made this year's gathering particularly memorable and enriching. A heartfelt thank you to Carlos Cabrera for our engaging discussions. Your deep insights and genuine enthusiasm for advancing biotech underscored the critical need for technical transparency and explainable expertise. It's refreshing to connect with someone who shares a profound commitment to transformative impacts in our field. Kudos to Ann Aerts for expertly moderating a pivotal discussion on how data, tech, and AI can reimagine health systems.
