#Diwali vs. #Halloween – Where are Our Priorities? This year, Diwali and Halloween happened to fall on the same day. But as I walked through some of Malaysia’s biggest malls, I couldn’t help but feel disappointed. I saw elaborate Halloween decorations everywhere, yet Diwali—one of our most significant festivals, representing light, hope, and unity—seemed almost forgotten. It’s surprising, even disheartening, to see Malaysia, a country known for its rich multicultural heritage, give more attention to a holiday that isn’t widely celebrated here, while overlooking an occasion that holds deep meaning for so many Malaysians. Diwali is more than just a celebration; it’s a reminder of our diverse roots, our traditions, and the shared values that bring us together as a nation. While I respect all forms of celebration, it raises a question: are we truly appreciating our own culture? We have the unique privilege of celebrating multiple festivals together. Let’s give each one its due respect and space, especially those that resonate so deeply with our communities. To all decision-makers and businesses: Let’s remember the importance of inclusion in our celebrations and our spaces. Let’s ensure that next year, Diwali shines as brightly in our malls as it does in our homes. #Diwali2024 #CultureAndIdentity #Malaysia #DiversityAndInclusion #UnityInDiversity #CelebrateResponsibly

✨ Get ready to sparkle, #Toronto! Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is just around the corner! If you’re planning to light up the night with fireworks, remember that safety comes first. Here’s a quick checklist to help everyone celebrate safely: 📜 Get a Permit: Wherever you are in Toronto, a permit is required to set off fireworks for Diwali. 🕚 Know the Curfew: Fireworks are allowed on your private property until 11 PM, and only those 18+ can handle them. 📍 Choose a Safe Spot: Not every location is fireworks-friendly! Fireworks are not allowed in parks, on beaches, streets, parking lots, balconies, or on private property that isn’t yours. If you’re celebrating at home, make sure your yard is clear of buildings or trees and that there’s plenty of space for spectators. 🔥 Dispose Safely: When the festivities end, don’t forget proper disposal. Soak used or unused fireworks in water overnight before placing them in the garbage. Remember, fireworks should never go in the blue bin! Be mindful of your surroundings, avoid setting off fireworks where they could be a nuisance, and let’s make it a safe and sparkling Diwali for everyone! 🎆 #BrianMcIntyreRealEstate #Diwali #FestivalOfLights

✨ As We Prepare for Diwali, Let’s Keep Safety in Mind! ✨ With the festival of lights approaching, here are a few quick tips to ensure a safe celebration: 1. Handle Firecrackers Carefully 🎆 – Use in open areas, supervise children, and keep water nearby. 2. Avoid Loose Clothing Around Fireworks 👕 – Opt for fitted attire to prevent accidental fires. 3. Protect Pets 🐾 – Loud noises can distress animals; create a calm indoor space for them. 4. Light Diyas Safely 🕯️ – Place away from flammable items and never leave unattended. 5. Be Mindful with Decorative Lights 💡 – Use certified lights, avoid overloading sockets, and switch them off when not in use. 6. Choose Eco-Friendly Options 🌬️ – Consider electric lights and low-smoke fireworks for cleaner air. Wishing everyone a joyful, mindful, and safe Diwali! 💥 #DiwaliSafety #FestivalOfLights #SafeDiwali #HealthAndSafety #HappyDiwali

It’s the Festival of Lights. You can already feel the sweetness melting in your mouth. And then…. It’s just a delay though, right? However, why do you feel more frustrated and agitated than you normally would? Why is the Festival of “Joy” so emotionally triggered by unmet expectations? This is the essence of liquid expectations—how our experiences in one area shape what we anticipate in others. During festive times like Diwali, these expectations soar higher than the fireworks lighting up the night sky. When our cravings aren’t met, the emotional fallout can be significant, leading to frustration and disappointment. Curious to learn more? Dive into the article here: https://lnkd.in/dTUtfUck This Diwali, let’s make sure the only thing that burns is the firecrackers—not your celebrations! #Diwali #LiquidExpectations #BehaviorsForBusiness #TerragniConsulting

"Diwali & the Sales Guy Dilemma : As the Festival of Lights approaches, he finds himself torn between the joy of celebration and the relentless grind of sales pressure. Can we truly light up our homes when our phones keep ringing?" Every Diwali, there’s that familiar tug- deep desire to unplug and celebrate with loved ones, met with the undeniable pressure to hit those last minute targets. I know this feeling well, from years spent in the thick of sales at various levels. The joy of the season too often gets overshadowed by a relentless pursuit of numbers. If you've ever felt the struggle to be present with family while work looms, you're not alone. Over the years, I’ve learned that with intention, balance is possible. So, to all my fellow sales professionals, let’s protect our time for family, laughter, and light this Diwali—even amid the grind. Success matters, but so does savoring life’s moments. Here’s to a Diwali that brings both achievement and genuine celebration. Wishing everyone a prosperous and joyous festival. P.S.: This year, it's a triple challenge- lighting up for Diwali, spooking it up for Halloween (yep, same day!), and surviving month-end chaos. Who needs horror movies when you've got sales targets? 😅 #Diwali #SalesLife #WorkLifeBalance #FestivalOfLights #Halloween

The best time of the year is here! The festive season has just kicked off and there’s no better time for Indian brands to take full advantage of it. October is the period when the cool breeze around the cities of India starts to chip in and that ‘positive feeling’ of festivities starts off. It starts with Diwali at around late October and early November, which then has Christmas around the corner and finally ends the year with New Year celebrations. The festive period brings in optimism in the minds of the consumers, and that motivates them to purchase or avail new services/products, which is when, brands can frontload their marketing budgets to enhance their service/product visibility and build on market penetration. Plus, this is the time when brands can build some really artistic creatives by connecting them with the festivals, which even makes it better for them, as consumers always love interacting with a creative that personifies festivity, happiness and optimism. #festivals #Diwali #marketing #advertising
