Novartis Belux’s Post

Dr. Marleen Finoulst, coordinator of Pink Ribbon Belgium's Knowledge Center, joined us for a (pink) Lunch & Learn to discuss her book, Omhelzingen/Étreintes. It shares personal stories of those close to people with breast cancer, combined with expert insights. Based on a 2023 survey, the book highlights how loved ones feel it’s taboo to mention that people still die from breast cancer and that only those who've experienced it truly understand its challenges. The book reminds us that breast cancer isn't "just pink" and highlights the burden and taboos around it. It also, in Marleen’s words, acts as a "warm blanket," showing us what people are capable of. 💗 For more information about the book & the survey:  NL: https://lnkd.in/e7xJST3h FR: https://lnkd.in/eJk2NeCx #ReimagineMedicine #NovartisTogether #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #BreastCancer

Great to see the interest and enthusiasm of 67 colleagues 🤩🎀 The journey of breast cancer patients and their loved ones cannot be highlighted enough to support them and break the taboos.
