⚡🌱 In 2023, +50% of the energy produced in Germany came from renewable sources! Among Germany's major green energy projects, the country inaugurated Witznitz☀️ in March. This is Europe's largest solar power plant, expected to generate up to 650 MW. While solar installations doubled in 2023 compared with the previous year, wind power🌬️ remains the leading renewable energy source, accounting for around 30% of the energy mix. Despite its efforts, the country remains Europe's biggest emitter of Co2, partly due to its heavy reliance on coal-fired power stations, which currently account for 30% of the energy mix (lignite and hard coal). Germany plans to switch to 80% energy from sustainable sources by 2030!🌍 #SolarEnergy #SustainableDevelopment #RenewableEnergy
