Happy Thanksgiving! Today, I celebrate Canada's Thanksgiving Day, and I hope you also have a chance to celebrate with loved ones today. This year, I encourage you to take inventory of everything you have to be thankful for. Despite frustrations, stress, and everyday challenges, I hope you can find SOMETHING that you can give thanks for. I wrote about the power of giving thanks on a daily basis on my blog, if you'd like to read it and be inspired: https://lnkd.in/enivvdm7 What are you thankful for? Comment below!

Never a Bad Time to be Grateful While Thanksgiving undoubtedly presents an opportune time for gratitude, I think it’s a dominant strategy to always be grateful. When we choose to be grateful, it can transform even the most challenging situations: declining an offer from someone, sharing difficult news, etc. Gratitude allows our sincerity shine through more effectively and helps us maintain our integrity during these interactions. I work quite a few gratefulness practices and there are 2 that I really like: 1. Upon waking, say out loud 5 things that I’m grateful for. This puts a healthy ‘lens’ on for the day. 2. Prior to meetings, intentionally create my way of being and include gratitude as part of it. I stay more centered this way. Thanks Ron Macklin for this one. I’m curious what works for everyone else.

Some days it is difficult to notice or remember all the wonderful things that we have going for us. It often takes holidays like Thanksgiving that give us pause for reflection. Perhaps it’s because we find ourselves supping with family and friends, who serve as reminders of what is truly deserving of our focus and energy. And, as we recover from Thanksgiving weekend festivities, challenge yourself to be grateful the other 364 days of the year. Practice gratitude with intention. Share with others what and who you’re thankful for. Take action to create a positive environment that will encourage gratitude. Start by simply asking yourself what you are grateful for! 🤔

Gratitude isn’t just a feeling—it’s a choice. Happy Thanksgiving to all our U.S. friends and beyond. Thanksgiving is more than turkey and traditions. It’s a reminder of the power of reflection. A chance to pause in a world that rarely slows down. It shifts our focus from what’s missing to what we already have. The people in our lives. The lessons we’ve learned. The small wins that carry us forward. Gratitude isn’t passive—it’s transformative. It re-centers us, helping us lead and live with purpose. So today, whether you’re celebrating with family or reflecting quietly, take a moment. Choose gratitude. What are you most grateful for this year?

Look what showed up on one of my recent beach walks — talk about perfect timing as we head into this festive week! I had to smile at this painted reminder that gratitude is what creates the joy, not the other way around. You know me — always collecting these little nuggets of wisdom along the shoreline. 💚 "It is not the joy that makes us grateful. It is gratitude that makes us joyful." What's made you grateful this holiday season? ✨🎄 #gratitude #LBI #luannnigara #awelldesignedbusiness #windowtreatmentsforprofit #excitingwindows #interiordesigncoach #interiordesignbusiness

Today's Positive Thought 11-26-24 Being thankful is really very easy. It’s even easier when you understand and experience how powerful it can be. Gratitude gives you a distinct advantage. And it is just as reasonable and just as accessible as any alternative. It’s easy and natural to complain when life is not meeting your expectations. What if it were just as easy, just as natural to be thankful and to see the good in whatever is going on? In fact, it can be just as easy, and completely natural, to be thankful. All you have to do is make the choice. Remind yourself how easy it can be to simply be thankful. Then take that easy route to real richness in life. There is no good reason to deny yourself the power of gratitude. This Thanksgiving Holiday, make the easy choice to be thankful, and you’ll easily be grateful you did. Have a great day !
