Looking forward to virtually attending #FutureFoodTech London this week. Although I won’t be attending in person due to ongoing projects, I’m excited to engage with the event and explore the latest developments in food technology. With my background as a consultant on European projects under the EIC, focusing on cleantech and sustainability, it’s always interesting to see how these areas continue to intersect with my current work at EATEX. Just got back from judging the #InnovationAwards at #FiEurope, one of the largest tradeshows in the food industry. It has been great to work for 2 years with my fellow judges on pushing the standards for the food industry, specifically on #sustainability. Three take-aways for food suppliers: 1. Sustainability is top of mind🔥. Sustainability received the largest # of submissions from all the 9 categories in the Innovation Awards! 2. Sustainability impact data is rare 🔎. Food suppliers must do a better job at reporting outcomes, not just outputs like # of acres or # of people. 3. Sustainability is more than environmental impact 👨🌾. An overemphasis on carbon, is leading many to overlook impacts on livelihoods. 🌍 Successful Participation at Salon des Maires in Paris! 🇫🇷 Last week, we had the pleasure of showcasing URIMAT and our innovative solutions at the Salon des Maires in Paris – and what a fantastic event it was! 🚀 In addition to our proven products, which offer both ecological and economic benefits, this year’s spotlight was on groundbreaking concepts. This approach not only protects the environment but also demonstrates how we can turn waste into valuable assets. A concept that generated significant interest in Paris – and rightly so!
