We are delighted to share the latest podcast (in Norwegian) from Radforsk featuring our very own Michael Engsig and Agnete Fredriksen. They reflect on a busy six months of breakthroughs and exciting data, and look ahead to an equally promising year.
Veterinary Neurologist. Passion for CSF disorders (esp. Chiari & syringomyelia) & animal welfare (breed to breathe, walk & see). My views expressed; do not necessarily reflect views of employers. No DMs asking for work!
"I have a #headache!" (subjective) - animals cannot tell us their head hurts and as a profession we have tended to shy from this subject because we can't prove it. However, some diseases such as #chiari and #trigeminal_neuralgia are synonymous with headache or severe facial pain in humans and behaviour changes in dogs and cats suggest similar signs in non-verbal species. In this #YouTube video I attempt to tackle the subject of #headache and #neuropathic_pain localised to the upper cervical and back of the head by telling the story of Deazel. Some of you may have seen Deazel in Wear Referrals Veterinary Hospital social media and wondered about his unusual diagnosis of #neck_tongue syndrome. I discuss the anatomy, the approach to cases that present with signs of head pain (including chiari) and management including the #C1 and #C2#nerve_root_blocks performed by our amazing #anaesthesia team for management of Deazel's problem. https://lnkd.in/eniTz2b8#treatment_algorithm#syringomyelia#pain_managment
Today is Mole Day. A powerful principle stated by Amadeo Avogadro , that all high school science students learn.
And yet this principle is very underutilised by pharma marketers in building brand differentiation.
On that note , put your thinking hats on and see whether Amadeo Avogadro can be put to use in your brand

Woke up, took care of plant handling matters for the male's chilling in the basement. I'm caretaking for 4 White Rhino dudes until our Minnesota born geneticist makes the move back home from Tahoe. Male cannabis plants (dudes) have a charm to them, but female plants (dudette's) are still my jam.
Checked on my Sweet Tooth and Skittlez germinated babes I popped last week. Soaking seeds in a 1 to 5 part mix for 24 hours in peroxide / distilled water produced nominal results.. 8 of 10 are doing their thing as healthy seedlings.
Dropped off White Rhino and Northern Lights clones to our legacy cultivator who's currently vetting genetics for commercial use. Salivated over his White Truffle genetics ready for a chop / cure.
Convinced our Green Bear Cannabis leadership team we need to take our $500,000 war chest for a microbusiness and ebb / flow the investment into a mezzo. What changed?
A partnership with a(nother) service connected disabled veteran and his similarly situated son. For those keeping score, our leadership team is now at 3 Father / son teams and 2 friends in their 50's with ties going back to college. 4 of us are cannabis criminals, while 3 were honorably discharged from the service as United States Veterans. We also have 1 boy scout who is neither a criminal or a veteran. At least he has experience as a licensed cannabis operator out West.
Additionally, we have an advisory team of licensed cannabis operators from out West with 40 years of experience spread amongst Minnesota born Master Growers / Solventless Manufacturers / and retail operators. That's how we scale properly. Through experience.
"Do it once, do it right," is military rhetoric my veteran father instilled in me as a child. It requires expertise, patience, and forethought. Personally, I prefer chaos, intuition, and assumptions :) But I make it work.
My Dad and I are handling the highly regulated, compliance piece. We have 60 years of combined experience managing ops in red tape industries (nuclear / IT / Healthcare / Law / Nonprofits).
Our cultivation team consists of a father / son duo have been providing First Avenue Musicians HQ Flower since the 90's. Meanwhile, our operations lead fixes the numbers in a financial model he overpaid for online to adapt to the switch from a 5k canopy / 1 retail micro license to a 15k canopy / 3 retail mezzo.
In the micro to mezzo switch, we lose the ability to operate an onsite consumption lounge. The reality is that endorsement is garbage and money better used elsewhere until Minnesota allows for Amsterdam style "coffee shops." Even then, most will lose their ass operating a consumption lounge. Just my opinion, and opinions are like assholes...
The only path you take in this industry that matters is your own. Carve it out. Be vigilant. Keep your passion. Fuck the outside noise. Good luck to all in Minnesota's emerging adult use market. Que Sera, Sera.
Day #2 "Meet the expert" session: 30min dedicated to a specific topic. Numbers are limited to 20, to favor exchange and discussion. Today, we had a couple of sessions (Arboviruses and Herpesviruses).

Today is the last day to vote for Surgify as the Path Maker in product development. But I’m not just gonna ask you to vote. I’m gonna tell you WHY you should vote for us.
Being part of the development team of Surgify, I’ve seen the birth and development of our product since the early days. Hard to really say what sets us apart from others from the insider perspective, but if I had to single one out, I would say it’s our user centric approach. Before we even set pen to paper, we first find out how we can really help our users, the surgeons in the surgery room, with our technology.
Then, as soon as we have a testable prototype, we test our new product with the surgeons and refine the design to better match their needs. But the iteration doesn’t end there as we also have to satisfy our own stringent requirements.
We try to simulate different cutting scenarios and situations where our device would contact soft tissue. We test, test, and test some more. And only release a product when we are certain that it would satisfy all the needs and safety requirements.
And that’s one reason that makes us a Path Maker in product development.
🗳️ Vote for Surgify! 🗳️
We’re thrilled to announce that Surgify is one of the top 4 finalists for the Path Makers Award, standing proudly alongside well-known Finnish companies Kone, Vaisala, and Sulapac!
This award celebrates groundbreaking product innovation.
With public voting now open, each vote can make a difference. We’d be grateful for your support—vote for Surgify here!
