Planet Positive People (PPP) is very different to conventional sustainability protocols like Net Zero and Carbon Neutral. Because while they focus solely on CO2 emissions, PPP drives positive action to counter diverse ecological threats, including: 🐒 Biodiversity loss – by helping to preserve ancient forests that are home to endangered flora and fauna. 🥤 Plastic pollution – by capturing nature-bound plastic waste. 🌳 Deforestation – by planting trees in high-impact reforestation projects. 🌊 Ocean health – by recovering ocean-bound plastic waste. 👩🌾 Soil degradation – by supporting projects that are actively restoring degraded farmland. 🏭 CO2 emissions – by supporting renewable energy schemes that reduce our reliance on burning fossil fuels. Through the power of collective action, our subscribers are delivering measurable impact to push back against these threats. Together, they have: 👊 Planted more than 5,000 trees 👊 Recovered over 16,000 kg of ocean-bound & nature-bound plastic waste 👊 Avoided more than 6,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions That’s what real action on sustainability looks like! Tackling climate change is going to require the greatest act of teamwork in human history. Is your business on the team? #netzero #sustainability #SME

🌍🌱 On the Road to Busan: Tackling Climate and Plastic Pollution Together 🌊♻️ At #COP29 in Baku, we’re seeing critical topics like plastic pollution being integrated into the climate agenda. Why? Because addressing circularity is essential for reducing emissions and achieving our climate goals. The connection is clear: tackling plastic pollution supports the methane agenda, helping to cut emissions and fast-tracking the adoption of the Plastic Treaty. With INC-5 just weeks away (📅 November 25 – December 1, 2024, in Busan 🇰🇷), many companies are showing their commitment to a legally binding instrument on plastic pollution. This treaty would create clear pathways for businesses worldwide to drive change and reduce both the climate crisis and marine plastic pollution. Our Ambition Loop Plastics’s team—Paula Guerra, Clarisa Marambio and Gaspar Guevara—is already on it’s way to Busan, to support the INC negotiation processfor a sustainable, circular future. 🌎✨ 💬 Let us know your thoughts: How do you see businesses stepping up to align with both the climate and plastic agendas? #AmbitionLoop #CircularEconomy #PlasticPollution #ClimateAction #COP29 #INC5 #Busan2024 Gonzalo Muñoz Abogabir CMG

There is no Planet B... Today marks World Earth Day, a day dedicated to highlighting the importance of protecting the environment. The 2024 theme is "Planet vs. Plastics", and aims to raise awareness of the harms of plastic pollution for human and planetary health. This year's focus comes ahead of a historic UN treaty on plastics, which is expected to be agreed by the end of 2024. At present, more than 50 countries, including the UK, have called for an end to plastic pollution by 2040. We know that there is so much more action to be taken and we have a part to play in protecting our environment. This World Earth Day, take a dive into our recent Sustainability Journey and the steps that we are taking to reduce our environmental impact at InHealth. #Sustainability #GoGreen #WorldEarthDay #WED24 #WeAreInHealth

plastic pollution is a threat to our planet. Its important to ensure that we dispose off plastics that pollute our environment properly and ensure practices such as reuse and recycle. Let's save our planet and ensure a sustainable future for ourselves. As Pure Earth Organisation Uganda , we always recycle and have community clean ups where we engage communities in climate education about the dangers of plastics and climate crisis. Plastic pollution is choking our planet. Every plastic bottle, bag, and straw that isn’t properly disposed of threatens our ecosystems, wildlife, and even our health. It’s time we take bold action for a cleaner, greener future. Let’s reduce, reuse, and recycle to protect our Earth. From fantastic to tragic—plastic’s story is unfolding in a way never anticipated. What was once convenient, is now choking the planet. Each year, millions of tons of plastic waste invade the ecosystems that nurture life on Earth. This isn’t the end of the story, though. A different ending is possible: it starts with cutting out unnecessary plastic products and redesigning products so that they can be easily reused, repaired, repurposed and recycled. Switching to non-plastic alternatives. Strengthening environmentally sound waste management systems. It’s time to act and innovate to #BeatPlasticPollution. As the world works on a #PlasticsTreaty, head to the link in bio to learn more and get involved. UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre
