A very pertinent article by ICEF Monitor highlights the emergence of new destination markets such as Thailand in the realm of international education. As someone who hails from humble backgrounds in Laos, where higher education has historically lacked global recognition, my own journey to study in Bangkok resonates deeply with the points raised in the article. Quality education, affordability, and the rich cultural experience are indeed significant attractions for students seeking overseas study opportunities. However, I'd like to further emphasize the role of partnerships with internationally acclaimed institutes, which greatly enhance the appeal and credibility of educational offerings in Thailand. Here are a few examples: - Degree Certification and Joint Degrees within Thailand: Dusit Thani College exemplifies this approach with programs like their BBA in Hotel and Resort Management, certified by the prestigious EHL, and their joint degree with Le Cordon Bleu for BA in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management.Double Degree Programs: Institutions like Rangsit University International College have pioneered successful double degree programs. These initiatives typically involve students spending three years at their Thai campus and concluding their bachelor's degree with partner schools abroad. Examples include partnerships with De Montfort University, University of the West of England, and the University of Wollongong to name a few. Such collaborations not only enrich the educational experience but also provide students with globally recognized qualifications, enhancing their employability on the international stage. As for the educators' side, the benefits are wide, improving brand visibility, expanding recruitment efforts without having to invest in a campus abroad and alleviating pressure on the application teams, thanks to pre-qualified students who have gone through an approved curriculum beforehand. In conclusion, the rise of Thailand as a destination market for education is not merely due to its inherent appeal but also owing much to the strategic partnerships forged with esteemed institutions worldwide. As Thailand continues to solidify its position as a hub for quality education, these partnerships will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping its trajectory on the global stage, especially considering the current policy changes in many top study destinations. #ICEF South East Asia presents a prime opportunity for international institutes to connect with Thai universities and vice-versa, fostering further collaboration and elevating Thailand's position in the global education landscape. #internationaleducation #thailand #icefmonitor

Since I was very young, I have always believed that education is the key to opening doors and transforming lives. But as I grew older, I realized that, in the globalized world we live in, speaking only one language limits the potential of many people. That is how the dream of a bilingual Brazil was born within me, a country where language barriers are not obstacles to personal and professional growth. Today, I am closer to realizing that dream through a project that aims to expand these borders and offer new opportunities for everyone: the Brasil Bilíngue project.

With a forward-looking strategy, Spain is poised to make significant strides in the South Asian education market. By offering a one-year master's program for all, coupled with the flexibility of legal part-time work for up to 30 hours a week, Spain is creating an enticing proposition for international students. Moreover, the extension of visa options, including a 1+4 year extension for students after one year of stay back, as well as opening up the spouse visa route, further enhances Spain's appeal as a destination for higher education. These comprehensive measures not only cater to the academic aspirations of students but also address their practical needs, fostering a conducive environment for learning and personal growth.
