Exciting news from the EIC Work Programme 2025! The European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) is making significant strides to boost deep tech and strategic technology scale-up with a €1.4 billion investment in 2025! This marks a €200 million increase from last year, reinforcing the EU’s commitment to advancing breakthrough innovations and supporting visionary companies. Here's a quick overview of what's new: ➡️ New EIC STEP Scale-up Scheme - €300 million for 2025, with plans to reach €900 million by 2027, to support critical scaling needs for SMEs, start-ups, and mid-caps. ➡️ €120 million for emerging technologies ➡️ €250 million for earlier-stage companies working in strategic target technologies ➡️ Expanded Business Acceleration Services for more companies. The programme is structured around three main funding schemes: 🔷 EIC Pathfinder: €262 million for multidisciplinary teams tackling visionary early-stage R&D with breakthrough potential. 🔷 EIC Transition: €98 million to transform research into innovation. 🔷 EIC Accelerator: €634 million to help start-ups and SMEs commercialize and scale, creating or disrupting markets. This funding, part of Horizon Europe, targets deep tech and strategic technologies essential for Europe’s competitiveness.
