How do we design/adapt Decidim for and with the community members (i.e. how do we avoid technosolutionism - again)? How to measure the "success" of this pilot? What evidence and impact measures?

Green Accelerator fuels our collaborations with local municipalities! 🚀 Thanks to the Green Accelerator program, we've kicked off collaborations with Tõrva, Järva, and Häädemeeste municipalities in Estonia! This program has been instrumental in connecting us with local governments and enabling us to implement real-world solutions. We're looking forward to expanding our services to other municipalities in the new year. The Green Accelerator aims to support businesses with green technologies that contribute to a more sustainable future. 🌱 The program's pre-selection round included 20 startups, with the top 5 advancing to the main program. All teams received €5,000 in funding, and the top 5 also received €25,000 worth of services to further develop and test their solutions within local municipalities. 💡 Green Accelerator is implemented by Sparkup Tartu Science Park, Tehnopol, Baltic Innovation Agency and Energex. #greentech #localgovernment #sustainablefuture #Sparkup #Tehnopol #BIA #Energex

🇳🇴 @Oslo Innovation Week is in full swing, and the insights are already rolling in! A quote that really stuck with me so far: 'Everybody wants to save the world, but not tomorrow.' It came from a founder working on an environmental startup. It's interesting to see how big ambitions clash with the reality of timelines. Another highlight was a conversation with a founder building a social platform for small and medium creators. His motivation? To ensure his daughter – like many kids today – won’t have to deal with big tech exploitation when she starts sharing content. And here's a sharp one: 'VC doesn’t always stand for Venture Capital, sometimes it’s Vulture Capital.' A founder stressed the difference between supportive investors and those looking for a quick win. Today’s panels will dive into finding the right kind of investor, and I’m looking forward to the discussions. Wrapping up an incredible day at Latitude59, where I had the privilege of pitching SiteSeer Technologies during one of the final slots at our booth. Just as we were winding down, we met these lovely and intelligent visionaries who prompted a quick pitch—proof that great conversations can happen at any moment! The energy, connections, and discussions with like-minded startups and visionary investors at this event truly reinforced the impact Africa is having on global ecosystems. It’s inspiring to see the world beginning to understand the transformative power of data in changing industries—and lives. Sharing the Siteseer story has been a journey of growth, understanding, and communication. We’re still learning, refining, and pushing boundaries, but as a team, we’re committed to staying at the forefront of innovation in real estate and prop-tech. Africa’s real estate landscape is evolving rapidly, and it’s a privilege to contribute to this transformation. Risk is part of the game, but so is resilience. Every pitch teaches us something new about our product, our mission, and ourselves. For me, as a young founder, it’s humbling to grow into this role, embracing the challenges of communicating Siteseer’s vision in a way that resonates globally. Norges Gründerforening attending Tech Town Hall Special: Should I stay or should I go Tech startups are international by nature and nations are competing to attract and support them. While other European countries have strengthened their options programs, incentivized risk investments and created startup and scale-up visas, Norway fails to fully understand the importance of the startup scene, and the tech sector. The gap between us and our neighboring countries is widening, and as they are speeding up their innovation, we are adding taxes and focusing elsewhere. The growing gap and the latest exit clause have spurred discussions nationally and internationally within the startup community. This is the first time since the inception of Mesh 12 years ago, that many are advising founders to relocate. How did we end up here? And what can we do about it? Norway has an educated and tech-savvy population, massive wealth, high levels of trust, and a modern startup scene that shows a lot of promise and potential! We cannot sit on the sidelines and watch barriers to innovation rise. The startup scene has taken the initiative to establish a lobby organization, the Norwegian Alliance for Startups & Tech, to influence the political direction and agenda.
