“Supervisor Tip of the Week“ Do you know the importance of setting clear expectations, swim lanes and goals for your team? 🔷If you're taking on the reins of a new team or doing some team alignment, there are a few tricks that you have in your back pocket. 1️⃣ Early on, set clear, achievable expectations for both the team and individual roles. 2️⃣ Having a structured approach to goal-setting, such as the SMART criteria (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound), can make it easier for everyone to stay aligned. 3️⃣ Be transparent about your own expectations as well and welcome input from your team. 4️⃣ Provide swim lanes for your team and individuals. This is the boundaries that you are comfortable that the team or individual can safely and effectively complete tasks without any guidance from you.
