Super important reminder to consider your viewers with disabilities when creating media for mass consumption. I am a big proponent of adding accurate, timely, and when possible, emotive subtitles / captions for any video being broadcast or uploaded to YouTube.

Such a powerful message from Haben Girma and, for me, also a great reminder of why imposing timing restrictions in learning content can be so problematic. What are your key takeaways? #eLearning #accessibility #DigitalInclusion

To be a good human is to grasp each and everything Haben Girma is speaking on. Be intentional when interacting with anyone that identifies as having a disability. Exude patience and authentic understanding. Not having a disability is not a ticket to be ignorant to others accommodations. Just like you take an interest in learning culture, new languages or new subjects we can do the same in this area.

The first section 504 update in 47 years giving enforceable protection to disabled people is finally here. It comes on the heels of a guide released by the EEOC last week, detailing much broader protections against discrimination. #Education, #healthcare, and #nonprofit #leaders, let’s foster equitable work and learning environments from the get-go. Workers, clinicians, students and faculty who feel supported don’t file lawsuits! Want to work with me as a consultant? I have space for one more client this year - contact me. #RethinkRelationship #Intersectionality #HealthEquity #EducationalEquity #Disability #Neurodiversity #MentalHealth

🌟 International Day of Persons with Disabilities 🌟 Today, on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, I`d like to take a moment to reflect on the importance of inclusion, awareness and understanding. It’s a reminder that not all disabilities are visible - Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), for example, is a hidden disability that often goes unnoticed but can significantly impact someone's life. As a personal injury legal firm, BBK understands the profound effects that hidden disabilities like ABI can have on individuals and their families. They are committed to advocating for those who may not always have their struggles seen or acknowledged, ensuring they receive the support, compensation, and justice they deserve. I’m incredibly proud to work with such a compassionate and dedicated team at BBK, who continue to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by personal injuries and hidden disabilities. 💜Let’s continue working towards a world where everyone is given the opportunity to thrive, no matter what challenges they may face. 💜 #InternationalDayOfPersonsWithDisabilities #Inclusion #HiddenDisabilities #ABIAwareness #BBK #PersonalInjuryLaw #CBIT #Teamwork #Empathy #Diversity
