Esports is a global phenomenon. Today, the global esports market is worth USD 2.4 billion, and is expected to rise to more than USD 10 billion by 2032. The 2019 League of Legends World Championship Finals attracted over 100 million unique viewers, surpassing the 98 million viewers for the Super Bowl in the same year. One of the key players in the industry is Riot Games, who run esports events for their titles League of Legends and Valorant. Together with Martens Rechtsanwälte, Riot has now taken the unprecedented step to establish an arbitration body resolving disputes between teams, players and coaches in the esports industry. I much look forward to assisting parties in resolving their disputes as a member of the arbitrator roster of the new “Dispute Resolution for Riot Games’ Esports (EMEA).” Dr Heiner Kahlert | David Menz | Carmen Paulsen | Filip Blagojevic | Stephen Bock | Jaime Cambreleng Contreras | Dr. Andreas Jens | Livia Silva Kägi | Dr. Mirjam Koller-Trunz | Jingjing Li | Dr Kendra Magraw | Dev Kumar Parmar | Catherine P. | Erika Riedl | Dr Barbora Šnáblová
That's really exciting to see.
Nicely put, Ole! The DR might just outpace other arbitral institutions before long 😊
This is super exciting! Looking forward to more updates on its activity!
Congratulations, Ole. This is super interesting!
We are really excited to have you on board, dear Ole!
Wow! Excited for more 💡
