I’m happy, very happy, and excited... (and also a little proud) ... to announce the publication of my new book! After nearly a year of writing, reflecting, and diving deep into the world of events, my journey has finally taken shape on paper. What started as a simple idea evolved into an incredible adventure that explores how gatherings have shaped our path as humans, our culture, and how they will continue to do so in the future. From ancient times to our rapidly changing, tech-driven world, events have always been about one thing: Bringing people together to see the future and co-create the future! This book is my sincere attempt to capture that magic of our industry, and it’s been a labor of love, fueled by my passion for the events. If you’ve ever wondered about the past, present, or future of events... or if you just love exploring new ideas ... I hope this book brings you as much excitement as it has brought me. A big thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey, especially Geoff Dickinson and Julius Solaris! For those interested: Here’s the link... it’s currently available on Amazon.com: https://a.co/d/bjNbr8C

Am I the only person guilty for attending events when item 13 is strictly and massively available??😂😂😂 Well it didn’t end well for me during my school days because I didn’t get much time to attend conferences and seminars for the impact. But then it took a turn when I volunteered to be a part of the “A lady with a dream” conference held by UMI Foundation and founder Marina Lamptey. This time I wasn’t in for the item 13 because for volunteers, we were known to do all the hardwork. 😂 I stole time to sit in the auditorium and vividly listened to every speaker and every panel and guess what, I realized I was missing a lot😌🔥 As Jannice Tagoe will say, “ I hope you are taking notes?” and yes I did take notes. The entire conference summed up to ; ✨The God factor; ( Never forget or forgo God) ✨Preparing and Visualizing my dreams. ✨Networking and Persuing relationship;( A lady with a dream collaborates not competes) ✨Taking impactful breaks;( Find something new doing during the moments of breaks) It was my first “mindset” conference and I was opened to a lot of opportunities and insights. Have you attended any event that changed your life and how you see things?? How was the impact? Feel free to share these in the comments section and don’t forget to connect with me.😌 Who knows, we could attend an event together these coming days. #Myjourney #linkedinwithmabeldarko

😳 Ten years ago, I began a journey to understand something that seemed foreign and almost incomprehensible—Bitcoin. Around the same time, Tim Draper made headlines for purchasing nearly 30,000 bitcoins seized from the Silk Road by the U.S. Marshals Service. 😱 Then a year later I distinctly remember reading The Economist’s 2015 article, The Trust Machine. At first, I wondered if Bitcoin was just another Ponzi scheme, but the more I researched Bitcoin and blockchain technology, the clearer it became: this was not just about currency—it was the beginning of something revolutionary. ✍ It was then that I started sketching out what would become the M5 edge economy—an inclusive system built on decentralized principles. I then got the courage to file a patent for the "Decentralized Title Transfer Validation of Assets" blockchain framework, believing that this bridge could extend the foundation laid by Bitcoin and blockchain technology. At the same time, I was introduced to Stoicism through Ryan Holiday’s The Obstacle Is the Way, which taught me how to see challenges as opportunities—just like Bitcoin offers a chance to redesign financial systems from the ground up. Stoicism became a framework for not only understanding Bitcoin but also navigating life’s challenges, though I had no idea what lay ahead on this path. It would be one filled with betrayal, death, heartbreak, and brutal rejections, yet the combination of my core personal faith, Stoicism, and the foundation of working with like-minded people who have stepped into their true purpose has allowed me to keep shining my light. 🙏 📔 Over the years, books like Ego Is the Enemy, Stillness Is the Key, The Daily Stoic, Courage Is Calling, and my coach Setema Gali gave me new perspectives on life and the evolving digital landscape. Stoicism and Setema taught me to embrace hardship as a path to growth, just as Bitcoin represents a way to reclaim control over our finances and lives. The patented decentralized title transfer protocol is designed into BRIDGE™ (Blockchain Registered Interbank Digital Global Exchange), built on the provenance of Bitcoin, to empower individuals, not big tech or governments, and to ensure the secure, transparent transfer of real-world assets. ☑ Now, we need your help to make this vision a reality. I’m asking you to sign the petition urging Congress and the President to pass the BRIDGE Digital Asset Act. This act will pave the way for a decentralized economy—one that is secure, democratized, and empowers everyone. Sign the petition today and Modernize the U.S. Financial Regulatory Framework to Support the Digital Asset Economy https://chng.it/nws45MCwcx #BRIDGEDigitalAssets #Bitcoin #DLT #TitleChain #StoicWisdom #DecentralizeTheFuture #EgoIsTheEnemy #RyanHoliday

I am happy to announce that my publisher Business Expert Press has agreed to publish a 2nd and updated edition of my book "Doing Business in Germany: A Concise Guide to Understanding Germans and Their Business Practices" (2019). Based on the very positive feedback I got also from people who moved to Germany for work, I will be adding a chapter on "How to Make or Break your Career in a German Office" (working title). Already on my list are questions like: Can I borrow my colleague's personal motive coffee mug? When to say "Mahlzeit"? What is "Fenster kippen"? Should I always be super direct (even) with my manager? Do all Germans drink beer at work - always? And how important is joining the annual company outing (Betriebsausflug), even when I am more of an introvert and don't like talking to people? Any things you recommend you should add from your experience, please feel free to comment or write to me: books[at]andra-ibf.com [Picture taken at the WEKA Fachmedien GmbH Betriebsausflug in, if I remember correctly, 2006]

The WSJ recently published a piece about how conferences are coming with more frills for bonding attempts for attendees. Certainly, I've been noticing this trend perking up at fintech and banking conferences...events that go beyond dinner and golf. There's such a balancing act between strong content, networking and giving room for all the introverts to take a minute (that's me by the way). But I do love when the event allows for fresh air activities. My brain feels brighter outside of a conference room. As the WSJ story reports: "Chris McChesney attends lots of conferences as a financial-services executive. The industry doesn’t get as creative as others do, but the Boston executive says he’s seen an increase in optional activities. They include cigar rolling, cooking demonstrations and wine tasting. And he says casino nights with play money are growing in popularity as betting has gone mainstream. These events can be part of the main conference or side events sponsors throw to get attendees’ attention." I'd add I am seeing pickleball, yoga, hikes, something with animals and, when my dream is realized, a picnic. My best meeting at one of these things is clear: Going down the mountain slide with Lamine Zarrad at MX event last year. Full story: https://lnkd.in/gcEjjqvg
