⚡ 🔥 This week, we have run for EURAM Innovation SIG a great workshop with intense interactions about how to best design research protocols with case study protocols. Keith Goffin gave an insightful keynote about the do's and don'ts of case study research. Keith shared feedback and returns on experience about how to review case study protocols for submissions to journals. He also commented his literature review considering the use of case studies in most important journals specialized in innovation. The workshop was so successful that we had to run parallel sessions to provide feedback to members of the EUROPEAN ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT registered for the workshop, where I provided feedback with Sylwia Sysko-Romanczuk and Quentin PLANTEC, PhD. MANY thanks to Quentin PLANTEC, PhD, (supported by Anna Bastone and Francesco Schiavone) for organizing the workshop. 💥 ⚡ Next steps: Symposia on research methods for innovation management research during EURAM annual conference in Bath, next June. We have 2 symposia on the agenda of the Innovation SIG: - about the micro-foundations approach and the use of multi-level analysis (that I will facilitate with Valérie Mérindol); - about action research (that I will facilitate with Liliana Mitkova and Sylwia Sysko-Romanczuk). See you in Bath!!

Many thanks to our keynote speaker, Keith Goffin for his presentation, and to Prof. David W. Versailles, Prof. Patrick Spieth, Prof. Francesco Schiavone, Prof Sylwia Sysko-Romanczuk, and Dr. Quentin PLANTEC, PhD for the paper development workshop. Is innovation a core competency of your organization? Your ability to innovate in a predictable and continuous way is most likely the future recipe for success... or not! Here's a series of questions I like to explore with my clients to assess the strategic role of innovation in driving business (current and future). • Identify current and recently completed innovation projects (take inventory of projects and initiatives). • Identify the scope of projects (current operations, new markets, new products/services, radical innovation). •Identify resources allocated (hours, dedicated teams, dollars invested). •Identify projects' strategic alignment (contribution to strategy). •Identify the governance process (management team oversight, monitoring frequency, resource allocation, progress measurement). In light of these observations, is innovation a strategic priority? It's a question worth asking.

The event concluded with a Q&A session, engaging participants on applying ISO 56002 in their organizations.
