Selfless Sewa NGO recently conducted a heartfelt drive to support an old age home in need of essential toiletries. Understanding their urgent requirements, we mobilized resources and delivered a range of necessary items. Witnessing their resilience and gratitude in the face of life’s challenges was profoundly moving. This experience reinforced our commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and reminded us of the importance of compassion and solidarity. Celebrating International Day of Charity Improving lives and places is at the very core of what we do which is why we are celebrating International Day of Charity with a look back at how our people and teams around the business have #volunteered their time and efforts to initiatives within their #communities. As part of our Social Value Strategy, we are proud to invite our employees to live our values and give back to their local communities with allocated volunteering days, either individually or in teams. Through our charity partnerships with Locality, the Lintel Trust and Community Foundation Wales we have also contributed a total of £1,881,390 in the past six years to our community benefit fund to help improve the lives and places of local communities through various projects and initiatives. Too often we bias the large at the expense of the small, think only ideas that can be scaled up are worthwhile, and measure success of the whole without regard for how each place and group of people are doing. This marginalizes a lot of people and places and leaves our economy and society much more fragile than it should be. Better to ensure that everyone has a chance to contribute and every place matters by balancing the large with the small in every sphere.
