What an awesome tool by Google labs #Notebooklm. #NotebookLM gives you a personalized AI collaborator that helps you do your best thinking. After uploading your documents, NotebookLM becomes an instant expert in those sources so you can read, take notes, and collaborate with it to refine and organize your ideas. It can quickly summarize complex documents, answer specific questions about them, and even transform them into briefings, study guides, or podcasts. I am using it with my #students in MYP year 5 and the feedback has been very productive ans positive especially with Criteria B: developing ideas. I’ve stumbled upon the blogpost by Simon Willison about Google's NotebookLM – it is like a customizable RAG product, letting you gather documents, text, links, and even YouTube videos into a single interface. It’s mind-boggling to think about how far AI has come. Imagine this: you provide some content, and within moments, you have a custom podcast where two AI hosts engage in a discussion about that very material. 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞 is my new favorite podcast! Google recently released NotebookLM (experimental), a personalized AI research assistant. What's really cool about NotebookLM is that it can automatically become an expert in any files you upload. The more interesting part is that it can even generate super realistic two-person podcast voices (currently only in English) based on the files you upload. I was reading a book called  𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒐𝒊𝒏 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒅: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 𝑨𝒍𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑩𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈, and I decided to make a podcast based on it. The result is amazing! I typed “Hi, my name is Deep Shah” — literally just that sentence — and guess what happened next?! 😲 It created a whole two-person podcast conversation, lasting 3 minutes! The tool spun up this dynamic, back-and-forth dialogue based on my tiny input, turning it into an engaging audio experience. I’m super excited (and slightly shocked) by how powerful this AI tool is. Google NotebookLM can turn any research paper into a podcast. AI tool that can generate podcasts of two speakers talking about the contents from various sources like research papers, articles, and more. Deddy Das from X created this 20min podcast from a 155 page report from Goldman Sachs on Generative AI in 2024 with Gen AI. He used NotebookLM for audio and Headliner for the video. Here's how to do it: 𝟭. 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗜𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: Visit notebooklm.google.com. If you are logged into Google, it will log you in automatically. Click "Create" at the bottom, then select a file or drag and drop your document. 𝟮. 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: Once the paper is uploaded, NotebookLM will provide you with a summary of the document. 𝟯.
