The Plenitude Consulting team is hosting the Plenitude Games 2024 as part of our efforts to raise money for STOP THE TRAFFIK Group We have formed a variety of groups from 🏋♀️ weightlifting to 🏃♀️ running to 🏊♀️ swimming, all with the goal of raising a combined £5,000 (doubling our efforts from last year) As part of the weightlifting team we are pledging to lift a total of 3M KG❗ throughout the month of July - any donations / words of encouragement are greatly appreciated! 🔗 You can find the donation link here: https://lnkd.in/eRRPvSXA 💡 About Stop The Traffik: Over 50 million people are enslaved and trafficked every year. 1 in 4 are children. Most are women and girls. Unfortunately, this crime is on the rise, and climate change, conflict, and crises around the world continue to raise risk for vulnerable people. When we see people in need, traffickers see an opportunity to make profit, and they make over $500 billion in profit annually. STOP THE TRAFFIK has a solution. Through data-driven prevention, we can stop exploitation before it happens, build resilient communities, and protect vulnerable people from harm. On Nov 8th, 30 crazy souls will go way outside their comfort zone to swim Make Waves (a 45km, 6-person relay around HK Island). Funds raised will enable Splash Foundation to continue its mission to provide free learn-to-swim programs to our underprivileged communities. Why? - Swimming is a non-negotiable life skill yet almost HALF of our city doesn't know how to swim (ironic for a world class city with an abundance of coastline and pools) - Come to a class and you'll see the transformative impact that learning to swim has on our Splashers' confidence, mental health and sense of community (the vast majority have been taught to avoid water since young) - Our relay teams consist of swimmers with different abilities and backgrounds. Having to start in the dark at 2am and swim 45km is a Herculean endeavour that is way outside their comfort zones (much like a Splash class for first-timers!) - By partnering with underutilised pools, Splash can deliver its free classes to local communities most in need. This picture is from a ride I did a few weeks ago, and I think it relates very much to my charity project... 👇 "Opportunities don't happen, you create them" As you might know, I am carrying out, all through this year, a very special project: #505. To celebrate my 50th birthday (which was a few weeks ago), I am taking on 5 epic cycling challenges in hopes of raising £5,000 for The William Wates Memorial Trust. WWMT supports around 20-25 charity projects focused on helping young people in really tough situations. Right now there are 21 different charities under their umbrella doing incredible work across the UK, with activities that range from education, arts, work skills and sports. You can see the full list on their website: https://buff.ly/3UnMqZB These charities provide crucial resources, support, and opportunities for kids and teens facing major challenges like poverty, homelessness, abuse, and more. A harsh reality that no one should ever face, but that we can help to change. Having raised funds and volunteered with WWMT before, I can confirm that the impact of their work is immeasurable and deeply inspiring. And, by chipping in whatever you can to my fundraiser, you'll be helping WWMT keep these lifelines up and running. Opportunities don't happen, we create them. And we can do that for those who desperately need them. Even a few bucks goes a long way when we all come together. As we close out 2024 and continue to look ahead to 2025, I advise you to challenge yourself and strive to reach/exceed all goals set out for. One goal of mine for many years, has been to run a half marathon which I officially signed up for back in October… most think why? Most that know me, know that I am not a runner by any means and provides the motivation to get into better shape. I didn’t just sign up to do it, but signed up to raise money for a great cause, the ALS Association Western PA Chapter. Im on a mission to raise $10,000 this year by doing 'Consultations By Donations' 🎉🫶🏻 What is that you might ask? Well I love consulting people on how they can add an element of giving to their business, but I hate charging for some quick but powerful advice 🙅 👉 So I started offering to do quick consultations for $100-$500 donations to charity depending on how long someone wanted my attention. It quickly became a Win-Win-Win for everyone involved and I fell in love with the concept. 1️⃣ The donor wins because they feel good by making a donation and get some expert advise on their business. 2️⃣ The charity wins because they get a donations. 3️⃣ I win because it holds everyone accountable to put meaning behind the call and to take it seriously while also supporting my favourite causes. My current cause I am supporting is BaseballFace Cares, Inc. where we provide sporting equipment and HOPE to under-served communities. We are one week into our #25for25 campaign, and you’ve helped us raise $11,000 in additional funds to write Grants for racers in 2025 so far! 🙌🏻 Did you know that of the 66 billion global sports sponsorship market, less than 10% goes to female Athletes? And we get it. $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 or $25,000 if we hit our goal isn’t exactly going to make a dent in that in the overall scheme of things.
