Holistic approach to climate change adaptation, biodiversity, forest management, afforestation, agro-forestry and recreation through capacity building and community involvement - open for cooperation

Massive investment in reversing of land degradation will secure less migration, better productivity and better health for the affected communities. Regenerative agriculture, agro-forestry, permaculture and soil conservation methods can help reach good results. Small forest plots will increase humidity for the microclimate and bind CO2. Establish local seed banks with broad spectre seeds securing production under wet as well as dry conditions responding to climate change and insecure weather conditions. Broaden the number of different species produces to secure some of the plants will survive the weather condition until next harvest. Establish drains along contour lines that collect excess water as well as retain small amounts of water. On the small dams along contour lines fruit and agro-forestry species are planted. There are so many intervention methods responding to the changing climate and tomorrow’s weather. How to secure funding for this overdue intervention in the areas affected by degradation? Maybe the 16th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Convention to Combat desertification (UNCCD) will come up with a solution? https://lnkd.in/dVuh7rBG
