I don’t want to be the richest woman on earth, not even the richest entrepreneur in Nigeria. It’s very stressful, tasking and daunting. The sleepless nights. The hurdles. I don’t want that. I want to live a softie life. Yes.😊 I want to do what I need to do without competing with anyone or expecting accolades. All I ever want is financial freedom, create generational wealth without stress and love God wholeheartedly. Love my husband like maddddd and kids. Build a happy home and have happy extended families. Life is too short to spend 50 years of your life running the rat-race, helter skelter with little or nothing to show for it even at 60+. We are indeed in an economic crisis in Nigeria. I was on X (formerly Twitter) yesterday when someone asked an influencer if he does check his DM. First, the question put me off. I wonder who in the age and time doesn't check his/her DMs. After all, DM is the only way to communicate and secure deals with prospective clients. Well, I read along and I later realized the said influencer has a strict rule of no DMs. But people flout his order anyway. He answered sincerely and said, "I'm scared of checking because it is full of people billing me." With the way the economy is, it is a no-brainer to see many influencers facing similar situations. A lot of people are increasingly going hungry. Businesses are also crashing. The rat race becomes tougher than it was before. Yet, people need to survive. Navigating Mindsets in Our Present Nigeria. In the ever-evolving landscape of Nigeria, adapting to change is not just an option, it's a necessity. Thing is, I've allowed myself to be (almost-)swamped by some of the work.which I love doing, to the point that I seldom create posts here (because, of course, got to focus on what actually moves the "Needle" the most, right 😁); I know I will need to do better in that regard. I digress... Here is my response to the curious question: 👇👇 Some of the things I've built? Hahaha 😄... quite some: worked on Beta Health - a telemedicine platform, streamlining the burden and stress of consulting Medical Doctors and Health professionals in Nigeria; myRidima, a digital assets trading platform, used by over 100k Africans (Nigeria and Ghana); Koyn - a digital asset-to-fiat product, helping Nigerians trade their digital assets and get paid directly to their account in Naira. Then, there is the Jinja app, an AgriTech platform working with rural farmers and manufacturing companies to ensure Agrocommodities trading and logistics gives less headaches to the players involved; Currently building KOOHA--accelerating the African Creatives' stories, a MediaTech platform helping individuals and brands simplify connections with their favourite Celebs. KOOHA is a rocket ship 🚀 that you don't want to miss joining, really. On the consulting side, there are some Business Management platforms, that are helping Business owners in the Oil.and Gas sector cut inefficient operations and save huge operations costs through operations digitalization; amongst others. ⁹/¹⁰ of these products are on the App/Playstores, used by at least a million Nigerians/Africans, and the figures are growing stronger. The goal is to keep building stuffs that directly (and positively) affect the lives of at least 100million Africans before I hang this Corporate boot. 😁 It's still Day 0, and I can'tbe more excited at doing this; 🥂 to building, and scaling.🚀🚀

Sometimes, being in your 20s feels like standing in the middle of a fog. I spent the early years of mine constantly trying to figure out who I am, what I want out of life, and how to build my most authentic self. To be blunt—it has been exhausting and overwhelming. At times, I’ve felt like I’m spinning in circles and getting nowhere. In my search for the perfect career that aligns with who I wanted to be, I worked different jobs and picked up a variety of skills along the way. 🪄 I took courses in Human Resource Management and Project Management. 🪄 Worked as a PA to the Managing Director of NICON Insurance, Nigeria. 🪄 Gained experience as a Customer Success Personnel at Wema Bank Nigeria, one of the biggest commercial banks in Nigeria. 🪄 Learned copywriting from one of Nigeria’s top internet marketers. 🪄 Got a Masters' degree in Philosophy of Human Relations. 🪄 Volunteered with two youth development-focused NGOs. 🪄 Worked as a Content Marketing Strategist with 5 international brands and 4 local ones in the span of 2 years. 🪄 Served as a Global Ambassador for the International Model United Nations (IMUN). 🪄 Currently working with Black Female Founders Hub to build a community of empowered female founders and professionals And yet, despite all of these experiences, I still feel more lost than ever.  But here's what I've learned so far: It’s okay to feel lost - It’s a big part of the process. So lately, I’ve been focusing on: ✨ Celebrating small wins ✨ Taking deep breaths when I feel overwhelmed ✨ Trusting the journey and my abilities. ✨ Reminding myself that I am not alone. 𝗘𝘅𝗶𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 A huge percentage on businesses in Nigeria were just set up to make money and service flamboyant lifestyle and most times these businesses are short lived. We have our share of successful businessmen and women that doesn't translate to a successful country. The goal of any sustainable business is to be able to solve a problem. Solve a problem and you create a long term business. What we see these days are people who just want to make money and live well and so a greater majority wants to venture into retail: buying and selling. These also leads to replicating existing business ideas without adding value or innovation because. A is doing it and is successful, B wants to do same and make same money and this leads to unhealthy competition as multiple businesses vie for the same customers and market share without differentiating themselves. Most successful businesses were born out of a need to address fundamental challenges. Take Facebook- communication gap; Amazon-logistics and e-commerce; Google-access to information ; Microsoft-democratized technology and software; and platforms like Stripe, PayPal, and Flutterwave-simplified online transactions. These companies identified genuine needs and created solutions, transforming industries and improving lives. There are lots of problem in Finance & Banking, Logistics, Agricultural, Educational, Health sector and a lot more. Unfortunately there are just a handful of businesses solving problem in Nigeria because most people just want to make the money fast, and so venture into the business that pays fast and pay well. Nigeria Businesses must refocus on this approach, prioritizing meaningful problem-solving and community impact alongside profit.
