The Chicago Conference, held in 1944, was a pivotal event in the history of international civil aviation. Representatives from 52 countries convened to draft the Convention on International Civil Aviation, establishing the framework for modern air transport. This led to the formation of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in 1947, following the establishment of the Provisional International Civil Aviation Organization (PICAO). ICAO's mission is to ensure safe, secure, and efficient international air travel through global cooperation. Saudi Arabia, as a signatory of the Chicago Convention, plays a crucial role in ICAO's efforts, contributing to aviation safety, security, and sustainability in the region. The Kingdom continues to collaborate with ICAO and other member states to address key challenges and ensure a future of sustainable aviation growth. 🇸🇦🇸🇦 #SafeSkies #SustainableFuture #AviationLeadership
