Overcome overthinking with these strategies: 1. Name and reframe thought patterns, 2. Interrupt the cycle with techniques like saying "Stop" or visualizing worries drifting away, 3. Change the "what if" narrative for constructive possibilities, and 4. Use core values as a filter for action. Embrace your depth of perception without being paralyzed by doubt. #Overthinking #Mindfulness #PersonalDevelopment #SelfImprovement #Resilience #PositiveThinking #Productivity #emotionalwellness

I like this article as the strategies given are very effective. My clients know the last strategy well (the work we do on SoI). The 5 strategies in this article are: 1) Name and reframe All or nothing Overgeneralisation Filtering 2) Interrupt the pattern 3) Change the what-if narrative 4) Use your core values as a filter for action. This last strategy works wonders.

Interesting article about how to stop overthinking or rumination. Its first advice is to name and reframe the pattern, helpful practice, but I think being aware of oneself is overthinking is the first step most people have neglected. Recognizing the thought (and extended feelings) and being peace with it is the very first step to avoid unnecessary suffering.

Do you find yourself often overthinking? One key aspect that isn’t mentioned in the article is how common overthinkers are driven by a fear of failure and their overthinking then becomes a self-handicapping strategy. Henceforth, it is important to practise self-compassion and focus on progress rather than perfection so we could perform at our optimal level.

One of the most impactful areas AceUp coaches focus on is stress management and building resilience. Through my own coaching journey, I discovered that a single word often drives a lot of stress: ANTICIPATION. We've all been there—feeling overwhelmed by the tasks ahead, only to realize later that they were much more manageable than we feared. This realization has been transformative for me as a people manager and team lead, and also as a parent, spouse, friend, and family member. What if you hadn't endured all that stress of anticipation? Would you feel better, sleep better, and be more present? For me, the answer is a resounding yes. By recognizing and naming this anticipation, I can now ask myself: Is it the work I'm dreading or just the anticipation? Almost always, it's the latter. This awareness has empowered me to break the cycle. A fantastic tool that has helped me is the Saboteur Assessment from Positive Intelligence. As someone with a hyper-vigilance saboteur, identifying stress related to anticipation has become part of my daily routine. I highly recommend it - it has been a game-changer for me, and I hope it will be for you as well! #coaching #teamleadership #stressmanagement
