BECOMING A CERTIFIED CAMBRIDGE EDUCATOR WITHOUT PAYING ANYONE As promised yesterday, I am sharing my understanding of how anyone can register and pay for a Cambridge professional development course without the input of a third party. It is a long one but I hope it helps someone. Overview of the Programme Cambridge Professional Development Courses are aimed at enhancing teaching skills and ensuring better outcomes for learners. Categories of Courses   1. Syllabus-specific Courses: Focus on understanding specific subjects and curriculum frameworks.  2. Enrichment Courses: Focus on developing improved teaching approaches. For the purpose of this post, we will be using the syllabus-specific courses link but the same information apply for the enrichment courses. Format of Training 1. Face-to-Face: Physical engagement at an approved school (usually 2 days). 2. Online: No physical or virtual interaction, self-paced over about 3 weeks. 3. Virtual: Live electronic interaction with a facilitator (usually 2 days). Types of Courses 1. Introduction Courses: For those new to the Cambridge programme i.e those who have never taught the curriculum. 2. Focus on Teaching: For experienced Cambridge teachers (at least one year) aiming to better understand a specific part of the syllabus. 3. Focus on Assessment: For experienced teachers looking to understand how a syllabus is assessed. 4. Marking Workshops: To boost confidence in assessing student work. Registration and Payment I believe this is the part everyone is waiting for so I will endeavour to make it as simple as possible to understand and follow through: 1. Course Selection: Visit https://lnkd.in/dCFGpNx7 to choose a course and check availability and fees. 2. Account Creation: Create an account (as directed) on the Cambridge website to profile yourself for the course. 3. Payment:   - For Affiliated School Teachers: Coordinate with the school leadership for payment.   - For Non-Affiliated Individuals: Use a DOLLAR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD (Nigerian Naira cards are declined). If you don’t have one, you may transfer the equivalent amount to someone trustworthy who can make the payment on your behalf. Once payment is confirmed, Cambridge will provide all necessary information for the training.
