Hello, and welcome to the new weekly overview at Stogl Robotics! 💫 🔜 This week, we have many further developments that we started last week, as well as some new work. ⚙️ Firstly, we will be working on a driver for a sensor of a special machine for our customer. 💻 Then we will transfer the algorithms developed offline in recent weeks to a customer's system. This is a mobile system where we are adding additional functionalities and optimizing the overall behavior. We will test this on-site at the customer. 🤖 We are also working further on the optimization of a robot cell, in which we will prepare several options for the customer. In the next weeks, we will present those in a workshop so that they can decide which direction to take. This is important to make the cell future-proof. 🗒️ In addition, our CEO Dr.-Ing. Denis Stogl will be preparing the planning for a cell that is controlled by our Control Box this week. We also have several offers and meetings with customers. On the one hand, it is about the force control of the robot arm, and on the other hand, it is about the ROSification of an existing mobile robotic system that needs a ROS connection to be able to use the advantages of ROS and the complex navigation, localization, etc. We look forward to your comments! We've heard for a little while now that READY Robotics' IP was acquired. Kudos to Eugene Demaitre for locking this down. Standard Bots has acquired the IP for READY's ForgeOS robot-agnostic operating system. We don't know the financial terms of the deal, but Standard Bots said it will: - Market READY’s API with its own training software - Bring its UI and AI platform to NVIDIA Omniverse and other robot makers Story is in the comments. Wandelbots also just introduced a robot-agnostic OS called NOVA. What do you think? Is a universal OS viable in the current robotics market?
