Gleaning is a sustainable solution that connects farms to communities by harvesting leftover produce to feed neighbors in need. 🍅 Not only does this reduce food waste, but it also highlights the labor and care that goes into producing our food. 🌱 The Center for Agriculture and Food Systems has compiled a map of gleaning organizations nationwide, and we’re focusing on California’s Gleaning & Food Recovery Organizations. Hemp as a break crop will increase yield of future plantings as well (up to 2yrs, see comment below). It will also provide much needed fiber/hurd/seeds for industries to make the switch to green alternatives. You can't "grow" wrong with hemp ;) #hemp #industrialhemp
