In one of my youtube videos, I spoke about how we can have a more secured food system and access to quality and healthy food. The approach I recommended was the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). This approach is beneficial to both farmers and consumers. You can watch on youtube with the link below to know more about CSA. As you are planning for the new year, also plan on how to have access to quality and healthy food https://lnkd.in/dWywaepZ #sustainability #worldfoodforum #fao #foodsystem #foodsecurity #farmers #advocacy #sustainableagriculture

I was very lucky to take part in a unique opportunity last year and its finally ready to share... 🌾 The Food & Farming People’s Panel in Aotearoa New Zealand 🐄 It's part of a research collection by Our Land and Water National Science Challenge. The panel was led by Daniel Eb and involved a range of incredible people working across our food system Cheyenne Wilson Tim Dangen Nicky Berger Marnie Prickett Charles Taituha Mikki Williden Jon Pemberton It's a 45 min panel of everyday people discussing issues that matter - climate change, food security, trust, and farming in the future. This panel is proof that diverse perspectives can be heard in a constructive way. Despite our different worldviews, it is clear we all care deeply about the future and how we are going to put food on the table for our families💛 While this video is 45 minutes, both on and off-camera, we had longer, deeper, and other difficult conversations. Between rural-urban, (or whoever we pose against each other), long form, in-person conversations are powerful because you understand each other's perspectives a little bit better than before👂 I never really realised for farmers it might be a blessing and curse that they are responsible for feeding people and protecting our environment. Here's my lingering reflections: Are we talking about water availability yet? What do you think the next generation of consumers see as ‘food’? Are we adapting fast enough, while also bringing people with us?” Watch the full video below or find out more about the research here: https://lnkd.in/g3PxzmDU

Happy #AgDay24! National Ag Day recognizes and celebrates the abundance provided by American agriculture. Join us today to show appreciation for all the farmers and growers who keep us fed, and contribute to a safe and reliable global food supply! National Ag Day is organized by the #AgricultureCouncilofAmerica (ACA). "ACA is a nonprofit organization composed of leaders in the agricultural, food and fiber community, dedicating its efforts to increasing the public's awareness of agriculture's role in modern society." We are proud to be part of the #AgIndustry, and to support growers in their mission to feed the world. #Growers facing nematode problems know firsthand how these destructive pests can wreak havoc on crops, ultimately costing billions in economic damages and lessening the amount of food available to the world. Thankfully, growers have a power solution against nematodes: TELONE™. Using TELONE™ to prep the soil ahead of planting helps create a zone of protection for developing roots to establish into healthy plants, with improved quality and increased yields. TELONE™ helps farmers maximize their crop outputs and continue to feed a growing global population.
