💡 In 2026, Swiss banks will also be confronted with the national E-ID! But how and in which processes can banks integrate the E-ID and what are the implications and potentials of participating in the Confederation's trust infrastructure? 🧠 The OpenBankingProject.ch participated yesterday in a webinar from the Swiss Banking - Schweizerische Bankiervereinigung about #relevance, #implications, and #potentials of the Swiss e-ID and the corresponding trust infrastructure for the Swiss financial sector. The large number of participants from the Swiss banks has shown, that the banks are beginning to address the Swiss E-ID and the topic of Self-Sovereign Identities and its impact on their business architecture. 🚀 As an initiative, we would also like to contribute to this emerging field and the arising questions and challenges that banks are currently facing. Together with our partners, members, and our community (Ergon Informatik AG, finnova AG Bankware, Intrum, PXL Vision, Inventx Lab, Swisscom) we are organising a workshop series from November 2024 until February 2025, followed by a Proof of Concept of the most relevant use case based on the Swiss E-ID. You can find all relevant information about this project below. 🤝 If you would like to join us, please feel free to contact us. The kick-off workshop takes place on Thursday, 24th of October 2024 @ Ergon in Zurich. #banking #innovation #SelfSovereignIdentity #eID #wallet #UseCases

The upcoming winter edition of the World Banking Forum will bring into discussion hot topics that affect our everyday lives. Current technological trends are profoundly reshaping the financial services landscape, particularly in the realm of #payments, which are the backbone of this sector and a critical component of the Eurozone. The advancement of a consolidated European payment system under the European Payments Initiative (#EPI) promises to deliver significant benefits to stakeholders, while simultaneously mitigating risks and enhancing the overall digital resilience of the Eurozone. However, it raises questions about the impact on countries that have yet to adopt the Euro. I look forward to engaging with the panellists to explore their perspectives on these topics. #worldbankingforum #digitalresilience

We have just concluded The Uniglobal 4th Annual Digital Banking Summit - an inspiring event dedicated to digital banking. I had a great honour of not only presenting #BIK Group's innovations, but also moderating two panel discussions and leading the second day of the conference. This unique gathering brought together experts from various sectors to share their knowledge and unique insights on the evolving digital landscape and the direction we are heading. Our discussions covered the challenges of digital security, authentication, biometrics and dynamically changing regulations such as DORA and eIDAS 2.0, EUDI and Open Finance. Artificial intelligence also generated a lot of excitement - the question remains: should we fear it or harness its potential? I was especially impressed by: - Escolástico Sánchez Martínez (BBVA), who presented on quantum computing and the challenges it poses for banking security - a lecture full of fascinating insights. - Claudio Balbo from Intesa Sanpaolo and the ‘Create New Digital Bank’ case study. - The number of questions from the audience was impressive and the engagement showed the importance of developing innovative banking. - Piotr Wojewnik, PhD and his presentation on the ‘model factory’ - inspiring and full of practical knowledge including #machinelearning in practice. - The presentation ‘Taking out fear of innovation’ by Steve Round who encouraged courageous decision-making. I'd like to say a warm "Thank you" to the organisers for their trust and the opportunity to co-host the conference, to the speakers for their passion and professionalism. Also many thanks to all the participants - for their activity, commitment, inspiring talks and great atmosphere! A special thank you goes to Monika Olesiejuk for supporting and coordinating our (BIK Group) participation in the conference. I look forward to future meetings and challenges. See you at the next conferences. Also I encourage all the interested parties to contact and discuss #behaviouralveryfication #behaviouralbiometrics; Thanks to my panelists for engaging discussion: Katharina Luschnik Alex Blay Daniel Stein Jaroslaw Sygitowicz with topic #OpenFinance #PSD3 and Frederik Mennes George Dimitrov Karol Głogowski Ignacio Guajardo Pavez, with "Navigating the crossroads of finance and criminal activities in the digital world". Thank you all. See you at next events. See you at business meetings.

I’m pleased to share another paper in FRL with two great coauthors (Alberto Citterio and Rosella Locatelli). Our paper titled ‘Is digital transformation profitable for banks? Evidence from Europe’ constructs a novel digitalisation index to examine the conditions when digital channel development can enhance bank profitability. https://lnkd.in/dCq4jfaD #banking#digitilisation#fintech

I’m excited to share my colleague’s invitation to the upcoming panel at Open Finity, a leading conference for the future of open banking in the USA. Alongside FIBI Bank and other industry leaders, we’ll be discussing how open banking is transforming the financial landscape. At Intellitrade, we’re proud to contribute to this transformation with our innovative solutions. Our core technology seamlessly integrates with any bank’s/Credit Union existing systems, converting data into FDX and PSD2 open banking protocols. This allows institutions to comply effortlessly with the upcoming CFPB 1033 regulations, ensuring secure and standardized data sharing. Our solutions don’t just stop at integration. We offer comprehensive, easy-to-manage consent and data-sharing tools, empowering banks to define what information is shared and under what restrictions. FIBI Bank leverages our technology to develop cutting-edge applications, providing its clients with smarter financial services powered by open banking data. Exciting times ahead for U.S. open banking! https://lnkd.in/dCdz7c6K #OpenBanking #FinTech #FDX https://lnkd.in/dfwUnaqk #PSD2 #ASPSP #DataProvider #CFPB1033 #BankingTechnology #FinancialInnovation #TPP #TSP

Looking forward to moderating an outstanding panel at the upcoming Financial Data Exchange Spring Global Summit 2024. The event, taking place from March 12th to 15th, promises to be a big one. Perhaps most notable of all is the location: Washington, DC, marking the first time that FDX has held one of their summits on the home turf of the US regulator. As stewards of the most prominent open banking standard in North America, FDX has long prided itself on being uniquely market-driven, and doing so with great success. But as the US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Finance Canada / Finances Canada come closer to introducing regulation, FDX has worked hard to bring the market and regulatory leaders together. Case in point, this event includes a fireside chat between FDX Managing Director Don Cardinal and CFPB Director Rohit Chopra. Not to be missed! My panel is entitled 'Inconvenient Truths: Real-World Open Banking Lessons from Around the Globe'. Astute followers of social posts about the event may have noticed it used to have a more innocuous title, but the panelists all agreed that we didn't want this to be just another 'Lessons Learned' conversation. The fact is that open banking has not been a cakewalk for the regions that went first. Many are facing significant hurdles and delays, and these deserve exploration just as much as the successes. So on this panel, we're going to raise and address some of those challenges head on, based on real-world experience, in an effort to help North America steer clear as they chart their own course. My panelists include Marie Walker from Raidiam, Joseph Heenan from Authlete, Gibson Pasquini Nascimento from Sensidia and Huw Davies from my home team at Ozone API. Thank you to the hardworking folks at the Financial Data Exchange for the opportunity to contribute and for putting on such an excellent event.
