A solid-state laser with narrow linewidth is obtained with two stages of sum frequency generation in LBO crystals.

AOT is awarded the first patent covering the CrystalView microscope, US patent 11867891. CrystalView is the only patented laser polarized-light microscope (PLM) developed for quantitative large-area microstructure characterization, featuring a 2.3 sq. cm instant field-of-view. CrystalView offers the fastest imaging - 20 minutes including processing - and higher contrast than electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) without the use of CI filtering. CrystalView’s fundamentally new design significantly outperforms computational add-on PLMs in terms of field-of-view, speed, material diversity, and surface tolerance. 📢 Publication News 📢 We are proud to let you know, that our colleague Martin Niemann and our Co-Founder Christoph Goniva together with Giandomenico Lupo, Wojciech Szmyt, Xiao Jia and Vladyslav Turlo, Ph.D. just recently published a new paper with the title: "Modeling of laser beam absorption on rough surfaces, powder beds and sparse powder layers". https://lnkd.in/dybaBk3E Our novel numerical model simulates laser absorption on rough solid surfaces by integrating photon interaction laws, such as specular reflection and polarization effects, into the Aspherix DEM framework.
