Four years ago, we were a small team of passionate software engineers with a clear mission: to build something that truly makes a difference for therapists who dedicate their lives to improving the well-being of others. I manage aeromedical and road-based patient movements in two Australian jurisdictions, striving to maximize resources efficiently. The group focus is on delivering timely care, especially for patients in critical condition, and adapting to unforeseen challenges along the way. Napoleon’s wisdom resonates: "Take time to deliberate, but when the time for action comes, stop thinking and go." Each patient scenario demands unique considerations, whether it's urgent response in remote clinics or strategic resource allocation in hospital settings. Sometimes, moving multiple patients in on one aircraft is the best course of action, optimizing use our limited resources effectively. Despite our best efforts, some patients require swift action that we can't always provide immediately. Flexibility and adaptability are key as we navigate uncertainties to deliver the best possible care for all those in need.
