Big Shout out to Sparq cannabis Co.!!! Mass brand with integrity. This is what testing looks like when there is honesty between the cultivator and the testing lab to give the consumer accurate THCa numbers. Great work and quality product. In my last video, I highlighted why timing is everything in the cannabis industry. Here, I provide essential advice for those ready to enter this dynamic field.
How well does your extract packaging preserve sensitive cannabinoids and terpenes? These elements are essential for ensuring your concentrates retain their intended effects, yet they are volatile and degrade or destabilize quickly in improper storage conditions.
The Calyx team regularly assesses our products against competitive packaging, diving deep into cannabis preservation science to ensure our packaging enables you to deliver excellence. We’re reporting on a series of tests to give you the facts on how our Concentrate Containers stack up against Pop-Vac Jars. These tests were performed by a third-party cannabis producer who, after analyzing these results, joined the Calyx ecosystem.

🔊 Calyx is committed to doing our due diligence on our packaging’s performance and helping you meet your customers’ high standards. Let’s keep the conversation going–what tests do you want to see us perform?
Anyone involved in the wholesale cannabis industry knows how much testing results can vary from lab to lab and even within the same lab. This is compounded by the fact that customers still base their flower selection solely on potency.
It's great to see 710 Labs bringing attention to this issue, as there has been little progress made in the industry. While I believe that educating budtenders is part of the solution, high turnover rates make it less likely for dispensaries to invest in this area.
What steps can we take to address this problem?

I always say to colleagues solventless isn’t just a method—it’s a mindset.
Choosing solventless means recognizing the farmer’s dedication, from seed to harvest to hand. It’s about doing things the right way, preserving the plant’s natural essence without shortcuts or compromises.
This process respects the plant in its entirety, capturing its full spectrum of terpenes and cannabinoids without chemical interference. It’s a commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and delivering the purest expression of cannabis to consumers.
This approach represents the future of cannabis as whole-plant medicine—a future where purity and transparency are as vital, if not more so, than potency. Embracing solventless is embracing clean cannabis at its core, and I’m fully onboard with this evolution. I know many of you are, too.
Let’s keep the dialogue going:
What does ‘doing the right thing’ mean to you in cannabis?

This has been a journey fueled by innovation and a love for cannabis, we set out to revolutionize the industry. Our brand video tells the story of four visionaries who dared to dream big in a landscape where cannabis was still finding its footing. Coming from backgrounds in engineering world-class facilities for retail giants, we knew we could bring that same level of excellence to cannabis processing.
Our mission? To develop purpose-built equipment tailored to the unique needs of the cannabis industry. From large-scale weighing to delicate packaging, we were determined to preserve the integrity of this precious flower. Traditional packaging technology fell short, designed for low-value items, not the delicate nature of cannabis. Our challenge was clear: how to move and protect the flower without compromising its quality or potency.
Join us on this journey of innovation and dedication. Watch our brand video to see how we're reshaping the future of cannabis processing, one delicate bud at a time. #CannabisIndustry#Innovation#RevolutionizingProcessing
So, in an interesting turn of events, I posted a promo for the most recent episode of The Truth About the Plant where we discuss using cannabis without getting high. In the post, I asked a question about whether people are able to find high CBD flower at their local dispensary. I posted the same content on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. FB and IG had no problem with it. LinkedIn took it down and accused me of trying to sell weed 🙃 The world is a topsey-turvey place! In any case, here is the episode if you want to watch it! https://lnkd.in/giZHwJVF

What is your identity?
- Do you have the best genetics?
- Do you have the newest phenos?
- Are you discount cannabis?
- Do you have proprietary technology on a new product?
- Are you a dispensary & consumption lounge?
In cannabis I’ve learned that the best practice is to pick ONE thing and do it well!
Only after you’ve found the right margins and rhythm in operations to sustain that ONE quality product / service, do you branch out to expand your portfolio.
