As May arrives with gorgeous flowers and warm breezes, it's like a gentle reminder from nature to pause and acknowledge the beauty surrounding and within each of us. This month is unique. It is Mental Health Awareness Month and Women's Health Month. Do you feel what I am feeling? For many women, taking time for mental health can feel like a luxury, but it's as essential as breathing. Simple pleasures like a peaceful morning, the sun shining on our skin, finding laughter in everyday chaos, or just taking a few minutes to unwind are small yet powerful steps toward mental balance. I can't help but feel grateful for the open conversations we're now having about mental health. There was a time when these discussions were only whispers in the shadows. Some would even call them taboo. Now, we're learning, growing, and supporting each other aloud. This shift is genuinely something to be grateful for. I'm thankful for morning walks, quiet moments with a book, and laughter shared with friends. Let's commit to letting life's little, everyday pleasures precede life's more significant obstacles as we experience this colourful season. Every day might not be good, but there is something good in every day. What small things make your days better? Let's celebrate these moments together! To express gratitude and give back a little of that light, please share it in the comment section. #twinocean #thankfulthursdays #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #womenshealthmonth #happymentalhealthawarenessmonth #healthiswealth #simplejoys #selfcare #lifebalance #findjoy #realtalk #shareyourstory #womenempowerment #communitysupport #potd

Mental Health Awareness Week 2024 #day4 🟢Wear it green day!🟢 The team at Red Rock Consultants Ltd have dug out our green attire in support of Mental Health! Today’s focus is how we can incorporate movement within the workplace, being office based can mean quite a lot of our day is us sitting at a desk so what little things can we do to keep moving? ➡️Where possible you could walk around whilst taking a phone call 📞 ➡️If your office has the facility you could use a stand up desk for a period of time during the day 🖥️ ➡️Take a moment or two at regular intervals to stand up and shake those legs off or… ➡️For those who prefer to be seated have a little foot tap to the radio! 💡Mindful Movements: When you are moving take a moment to think about how you are thinking / feeling, what sounds can you hear and what can you see around you? This is great way to help you relax There are so many ways you can incorporate moments of movement throughout your day that will help keep your mind healthy 🧠. It’s important to remember to celebrate the small victories as well as the big ones! 🏅 Set small achievable tasks that are personal to you… remember everyone is different – so don’t compare yourself! As long as you are the trying to be the best version of yourself then you are winning! 💚

10th October 2024 - World Mental Health Day. This year's theme focuses on mental health in the workplace. What can you do to help yourself and others? At Lysander, we hold regular toolbox talks to inform and support our team. How to achieve better well-being: * Talking: Be open with people you trust about your feelings. * Exercise: Exercise is proven to promote a healthy body and mind. * Calming: Meditation, sleeping well, and relaxing by switching off mobile phones, etc., during the day. * Learning: A new skill or hobby can help you gain confidence. * Relating: Spend time with people you care about and who care about you. * Contributing: Helping others, eg. volunteering, can provide a sense of self-achievement. * Creating: Express yourself creatively through eg. music, art, drama, writing etc. * Congratulating: Be kind to yourself, and self-congratulate yourself after achieving something. What you can do to help others: * Remember, people are battling problems you know nothing about. * Ask people how they are and if they would like to talk about anything if you feel that they are stressed for any reason. * One kind act can make a big difference to a person who really needs it. Not just today, but every day; if you need help, please talk to a friend, colleague or mental health first aider. #WorldMentalHealthDay2024 #mentalhealth #Lysander #WorkplaceWellbeing

Hey everyone, I want to remind you that it's okay to take things one step at a time in your recovery and mental wellness journey. We often expect ourselves to be perfect or make huge leaps forward, but I’m here to tell you that progress doesn’t always happen in a straight line—and that’s completely okay. It’s the small, consistent steps that create lasting change. Whether it’s reaching out to someone when you’re feeling down, spending time doing something that calms your mind, or simply allowing yourself to rest without guilt—these are the moments that build real progress. I want you to know that every little effort counts. This week, I challenge you to celebrate your small wins. Think about one thing—just one—that you’ve done for your mental health and recovery. Maybe you made a healthy choice today, connected with someone who lifts you up, or even just got out of bed when it felt hard. Celebrate that! These are victories that deserve recognition. Remember, you're not alone in this journey. We’re all in this together, and it’s okay to be gentle with yourself. What small win are you celebrating today? Share it with me in the comments below, let’s lift each other up and continue to support one another as we walk this path of healing and growth. 🌱 #ThinkUpWithRose #WellnessWisdom #RecoveryJourney #MentalHealthAwareness #CelebrateSmallWins #ProgressNotPerfection

🌿 National Self-Care Week (18-24 November): Prioritise Your Emotional Well-being 🌿 As we mark National Self-Care Week, it’s a great time to reflect on our emotional needs and how we can nurture them for better mental health and overall well-being. The Human Givens approach offers a powerful framework for understanding what we need to thrive, including: 🔹 Security – Feeling safe and secure is vital for mental peace. Whether it's physical, financial, or emotional security, it’s essential to prioritise these areas of your life. 🔹 Attention – We all need quality, positive attention from others. Strong relationships and a supportive social circle make a significant difference in our emotional resilience. 🔹 Control – A sense of control over our environment and choices boosts confidence and reduces stress. Small daily wins matter. 🔹 Achievement – Feeling a sense of progress and accomplishment, whether in work or personal projects, keeps us motivated and fulfilled. 🔹 Meaning – Finding purpose in what we do gives us a deeper sense of connection and satisfaction in life. Self-care isn’t just about physical health; it’s about understanding and meeting these emotional needs regularly. Small daily actions can help maintain balance and prevent burnout. 🧠💪 This week, take the time to reflect on your emotional well-being, and ask yourself: Are my emotional needs being met? 🌱 #SelfCareWeek #MentalHealthMatters #HumanGivens #EmotionalWellBeing #NationalSelfCareWeek #MentalHealthAwareness

In honor of #WorldMentalHealthDay, I want to reflect on the powerful connection between the heart and the mind—something I've explored deeply over the years. Too often, anxiety and stress cloud our thinking, but when we let our hearts lead, we create the space for our minds to find clarity. It's about balancing the inner tension and allowing ourselves to pause, breathe, and trust that our heart can guide us through difficult moments. Today, let’s take a step back, focus on our emotional well-being, and give ourselves permission to reset. 🌱 What are some ways you prioritize mental health & wellbeing? #MentalHealthMatters #HeartAndMind #UnlimitedHeart
