Avoid someone being in this situation and looking around thinking "gosh I hope no one caught that on their camera" by using dyed ice melt or rock salt. That way walkers can SEE that ice melt is down, and to be careful. Or just keep them guessing with colorless rock salt, and have your camera ready.
