When putting away outdoor items such as patio furniture this fall, be careful to look for egg masses from invasive species such as spotted lanternfly (SLF). SLF will lay their eggs on any surface. These egg masses look like smears of mud. If left to overwinter they will hatch in the spring. If you see SLF egg masses, take photos, scrape them into a plastic bag and report them to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. For more information about SLF egg masses, click this link: https://bit.ly/38TXN38

There’s often confusion between #loins and #fillets, terms frequently used interchangeably but referring to distinctly different cuts. Fillets, or tenderloins, of a deer are located inside the abdominal cavity, running along the inside of the backbone, and are prized for their tenderness due to minimal muscle use. In contrast, the loins, or backstraps, run along the outside of the spine and are larger and also tender, making them popular for various dishes. Understanding these anatomical differences not only enhances culinary techniques but also ensures that each piece is optimally cooked (charged accordingly 😉😉😉😉), preserving its distinct qualities and flavours. #DeerManagement #WildlifeConservation #Sussex #SustainableHunting #FieldWork #TickAwareness #OutdoorSafety #WildscapeDeerManagement, #Swarovski #DeerManagementUK, #DeerManagement, #FallowDeer, #RoeDeer, #Deer, #CountrysideStewardship, #WildlifeConservation, #SustainableLivingUK, #Farming, #Conservation, #Agriculture, #SussexDeerManagement, #Trico #Reloading #Blaser SWAROVSKI OPTIK Blaser GmbH

2moAvoid someone being in this situation and looking around thinking "gosh I hope no one caught that on their camera" by using dyed ice melt or rock salt. That way walkers can SEE that ice melt is down, and to be careful. Or just keep them guessing with colorless rock salt, and have your camera ready.
