Accreditation bodies and IAF regional bodies continue to ignore their fundamental responsibility to hold ISO certification bodies accountable to ISO 17021.
Now Raad voor Accreditatie has ignored a complaint filed against Control Union. We filed a complaint against CU back in 2023 and they ignored it for over a year and a half. So, the matter was escalated to RvA, asking them to investigate CU for a violation of ISO 17021's requirements on complaints handling.
Refusing to do so, RvA's Mirjam Kradolfer simply handed the matter back to CU, and let them pick it up now. RvA ignores the fact that the matter was open for more than a year; they will not investigate WHY Control Union let a problem sit for over a year and go unanswered. By not tackling that issue, RvA allows Control Union to continue to operate a wholly ineffective complaints handling system, that fails to comply with ISO 17021.
RvA is acting as a good solder in the IAF's protection racket. Rather than do it's job, it helps offenders like CU get away with violations, and provides cover for them later.
I've rejected RvA's response, but they know there is no punishment for them if they willingly violate their own compliance (to ISO 17011) since European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) won't do their job, either, and hold RvA accountable.
The system is broken and corrupt.
