🚀⭐ I had a fantastic experience this past weekend at Protothon 2024, a UX hackathon hosted by DubsTech. Huge shoutout to my incredible team members Basavaraj Hittinahalli, Holly Haymaker, and Andrea Maiato for their dedication throughout the hackathon. It was an exhilarating weekend filled with creative brainstorming, seamless teamwork, and strategic UX planning of crafting user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, culminating in a final presentation to the judges. Our task was to develop a platform tailored to the needs of the Seattle Fire Department, empowering them to: 🔥 Swiftly identify incidents 🚑 Efficiently allocate resources 📝 Generate detailed reports post-incident Our solution—Seatle Fire, an intelligent emergency response system designed to optimize resource allocation and enhance efficiency during crises by leveraging advanced data analytics and real-time monitoring. It was an enriching experience while forging new connections! 🚒🚀⭐ @DubsTech @design buddies @Zoshua Colah #UX #UI #UIUX #haxkathon #Prorothon #userexperience #userinterface #uidesign #uxdesigner #design #userresearch #uxprocess #interactiondesign

Perfect experiences don’t happen by accident. They are crafted, with multi-disciplinary teams, with grit filled pursual of trade-offs closing towards experience-savy outcomes. Design sprints help accelerate these conversations by: 1. bringing various problems in focus. 2. rapid prototyping so decisions can be made faster on which solution to move ahead with. 3. aligning various stakeholders. 4. covering each other’s blindspots. Hello Connections! I am so excited to say that Today is my DAY 48-50 of #100DaysofUIUX under edam I have learned about the Empathy Maps. EMPATHY MAPS: Empathy mapping is a powerful technique used in UX/UI design to gain a deeper understanding of users by visualizing their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and goals. • An empathy map is a framework that captures user perspectives and experiences. • It helps designers and non-designers alike understand and visualize a user’s needs, feelings, and pain points. COMPONENTS OF AN EMPATHY MAP: • User Persona: Start with a specific user persona QUADRANTS: • Says: What the user explicitly says. • Does: Observable actions and behaviours. • Thinks: Internal thoughts, motivations, and goals. • Feels: Emotional states, frustrations, and desires. Steps to Create an Empathy Map: • Step 1: Define Scope and Purpose. • Step 2: Gather Research. • Step 3: Fill in the Quadrants. • Step 4: Discuss and Analyze. • Step 5: Identify User Needs. Here are the Outcomes… Thank You… #100DaysOfTech #TechChallenge #LearnTech #TechJourney #CodeEveryday #TechLearning #ProgrammingChallenge #TechSkills #DailyTechChallenge #TechProgress #CodeChallenge #100DaysOfCode #TechMilestone #DailyCoding #TechExplorer #CodeLearning #TechCommunity #CodingJourney #TechEnthusiast #LearnToCode #edam Yasasvi Mandapati Abhishek Nagaraja

“The needs of the user vs. the ego of the designer” Yesterday, I attended a valuable prototyping masterclass led by Lies Verhetsel from Twisted Studio. Although the topic wasn’t new to me, this session reaffirmed the importance of putting the user at the center, conducting thorough research, and most importantly: TESTING. Elizabeth shared a key insight that really made me reflect: “The dirtier the prototype, the more honest the feedback.” The less polished your prototype, the more genuine the feedback from users. This stage in the process is crucial. It's when you gather the most valuable input. Moreover, it gives users the sense that their contribution truly matters and that they are an integral part of the design process. In short, this masterclass not only provided me with fresh perspectives but also motivated me to approach future projects with renewed energy. Thank you, Lies Verhetsel for the inspiration and guidance! 🚀✨ #SSD #servicedesign #prototyping #thomasmore #ux #humancentered

Worthy Read: Teresa Torres – Even You Can Do Continuous Discovery: Bringing the Discovery Habits to Every Organization by Jennifer Michelmann I delivered the opening keynote at the inaugural Product at Heart conference in Hamburg, Germany in June. It was a brand-new talk on how everyone can bring discovery habits to their organization. I’ll be sharing the transcript and slides on the Product Talk blog soon, but in the meantime you can check out this recap post. https://buff.ly/44lAfPE ❓ What's one discovery habit from my framework that you've tried implementing in your team, and what was the outcome? #prodmgmt #ux #engineering

From Product Talk: Product in Practice: Getting Started with Opportunity Solution Trees at SuperAwesome In 2019, we launched a new series on Product Talk called "Product in Practice," where we're highlighting the excellent work that different product teams are doing. This edition features Chris Hockley who shares how he rolled out the opportunity solution tree to multiple teams at SuperAwesome. It's a great lesson in how different teams can adapt this tool to their specific needs. Read more: https://buff.ly/47r830i ❓ What challenges have you encountered when breaking down solutions into underlying assumptions, and how have you adapted your discovery process to ensure you're testing assumptions quickly and effectively? #prodmgmt #ux #engineering
