The Irradiation Panel is excited to announce the formation of the “Education & Training Working Group”! 📢 This is a significant step forward in our commitment to supporting career development by delivering educational content. This dynamic group is dedicated to developing high-quality online training content, building upon proposals discussed at the Panel meetings held in 2023. The first task is the development of a comprehensive charter for the group and our online training project. This foundational document will guide our efforts as we strive to deliver enriching educational experiences to our community. We will be introducing the formation and aims of our new working group at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on April 24 in London. During this event, we will also provide a progress report on the online training project, offering insight into our vision and the steps we're taking to make it a reality! 🚀 For more information about Irradiation Panel membership or the new Education & Training Working Group, contact us at enquiries@irradiationpanel.org

If you are an instructor who works in career and vocational training, higher education, or organizational/workplace settings, you are being asked to participate in a research study that investigates the validity of the IBSTPI 2021 Instructor Standards as a self-report instrument. If you choose to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete a survey that will take approximately 15-20 minutes of your time. If you have been teaching in face-to-face, blended (hybrid), and/or online (asynchronous, synchronous, or both) settings, please complete the survey at the link below: https://lnkd.in/geCXtQ3G If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Yasin Yalcin at yasin.yalcin@erdogan.edu.tr.

Meet some of our X-CALIBRE team… Why do we like working in pairs? Last week we delivered Day 1 as part of a 3 day training programme for a client based in Worcester, and we had 3 Instructors’ supporting the delegates… With the majority of our training we always co-facilitate with 2 fully trained and experienced Instructors’, this also goes for our online delivery. But surely we could just deliver with one trainer - it would be cheaper? Yes, but we realise the importance of delivering with 2 Instructors, the customer experience, and those benefits we offer. That’s ONE reason why we are not the usual provider and sets us apart from many other providers… But what are the benefits in delivering with two fully trained, experienced instructors? 👬Double the wealth of experience. 👬Double the numbers with the ratio of Instructors to delegates for our regulated courses. 👬We can support the delegates better. 👬If someone may be struggling, such as learner difficulties, or due to the emotive and sensitive subject of the subject e.g suicide, an instructor can support that person if required. 👬One delegate might warm and listen to the other Instructor rather than the other. 👬You don’t just hear from one person, which regardless of who they are can be monotonous after a day’s training with only one instructor… 👬It allows a breather for the other Instructor (which can be exhausting) and particularly if online they can read the room, answer any questions in the chat etc and prepare for the next session. 👬It provides a more diverse team (usually one female and one male), with different teaching styles, backgrounds and ideas which can be bounced off each other… So why wouldn’t you have 2 Instructors’ to deliver important and what can be challenging ‘life saving’ topics- it’s powerful and it makes sense doesn’t it? But, that’s what sets us apart from the ‘usual providers’… Imagine if we had 3 Instructors’ supporting a course, what would that offer? You see X-Calibre are not the usual provider…💪 #training #mentalhealthtraining #medicaltraining #firstaidtraining #mentalhealthintheworkplace #mentalhealthatwork

In the courses I run, I always ask participants these key questions: What are your career fears? What do you need to thrive? What’s your big dream in your career? What’s most important to you in professional training? The responses are fascinating. One person said, “I fear getting bored and losing passion for my work.” Another shared, “I crave variety, challenges, and a curious, supportive team to keep me growing.” When asked about their dream, someone confidently said, “My own private institute with a top-notch, multi-talented team.” And when it comes to courses? “Give me knowledge—lots of it! Plus practical tools I can use right away in the clinic.” Ready to take the next step in your professional journey? Know how to choose your next course and specialty to build your dream career! Our training is focussed on learning and reflecting on skills, not on the hierarchy in the room. Our latest blog talks about the impact that this has on our delegates. Have a read and do let us know what you think. https://lnkd.in/en-HudEH

I am excited to share the review of the 2023 SMART IRB Symposium, held on October 10, 2023. This advanced training session, titled "Enhanced Training in Single IRB Review," was designed in response to feedback requesting deeper insights into the sIRB process for experienced HRPP/IRB professionals. With almost 200 active participants, the symposium was a great success. The event featured case-based training materials, allowing attendees to engage in practical problem-solving exercises focused on understanding the organizational structure of relying sites and their local considerations. The participants shared valuable insights and experiences. Post-event feedback indicated that over 70% of respondents found the symposium extremely helpful for their professional development. The event's interactive format, including breakout sessions and detailed case studies, was particularly well-received. We thank all participants for making this symposium a success. Your insights and feedback are invaluable in our ongoing efforts to improve the sIRB process. Following the success of the 2023 Symposium, we are excited to announce the 2024 SMART IRB Symposium: Enhanced Training in Single IRB Review. This event is scheduled for October 8, 2024, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM ET and will be held via Zoom. The focus of the 2024 symposium will be managing noncompliance situations in multi-site studies overseen by a single IRB. Again, the symposium will be a case-based interactive session allowing participants to share their experiences. Registration for this year’s symposium is now open at the following link. https://lnkd.in/gc6FKWJk We hope you can join us for this year’s event.
