I do think the vertical stack that Fanatics has is compelling from a business stand point. One thing missing in this chart is the role of Distribution, i.e. LCS/Retail and breaking. Breaking specifically as a primary sale point for most collectors on modern, with the grading a key piece to unlock the secondary market on auction houses/marketplaces. The breaker and the vault are vital pieces. Specifically the vault is, in my view, the secret weapon because it can serve as escrow to unlock so many new use cases for the collectible item -- to trade, eliminate shipping, to go digital, which opens up all sorts of use cases. The key is the vault needs to be a 3rd party and trusted by the community. If that happens, one can verify she/he owns the item and can then be entitled to new content, access to exclusive breaks, and ultimately, real world experiences. The Vault is the hub for that!
