Not sure acquisition of existing copper mines by majors is necessarily going to solve the supply chain demand for copper. Probably new discoveries by junior exploration companies creating a pipeline of development projects might be more beneficial in the longer term. 😂

The massive investments would have very high risk, which is why they arent happening. Mining companies would be making massive investments on lower grade mines, they would run the permitting risks and the price risks. They would be betting billions on projects that would not give a return for 10-20 years. Right now, no one wants to take on the risk.
