One of our Service Trucks and a Sandvik TH663i Underground Mine Truck, festively decorated for the season, paraded down Hannan Street as our dedicated staff and their families distributed treats to the enthusiastic crowd. With Redpath's Raiseboring operations, Service Centre, Training Academy, and Incycle Construction all based in Kalgoorlie, Redpath is deeply committed to supporting and contributing to the local community. The St.Barbara's Festival, which includes the Parade and Miners Memorial Service, is a significant event that brings together thousands to Honour the mining industry's contributions and remember those we've lost. This week, 18 more of our employees completed the Lean Leaders Course with Productivity Improvers, bringing our total participants to 186 over the last five years. This significant investment in our people directly enhances project efficiency and operational effectiveness. Redpath turns 62! From humble beginnings to the global organization it is today, Redpath was founded sixty-two years ago, by the 26-year old Canadian mining engineer, Jim Redpath. Initially the business was run from the basement of Jim Redpath’s apartment. It was during those early years that Jim Redpath formulated the company’s Philosophy and Guidelines for Success. These founding principles derived from his belief that the focus of every employee must be on doing a good job for the client. Over six decades later and now with 10,000 employees, these principles are still present on every Redpath work site and in every corporate communication. All projects are viewed through the lens of how a decision or action will align with these corporate values. Redpath is pleased to announce the opening of our new Corporate Office in Gaborone, Botswana, marking an important step for the new Redpath Botswana company. The office will serve as a support hub for the Jwaneng Project and future projects in the region. Once fully operational, the office will be home to an In-Country Manager, Finance Manager – Business Partnering, HR Manager, IT Helpdesk Support, Finance Officers, and Receptionist/Administration. This expansion reflects our continued commitment to strengthening our presence and operations in Botswana. We are proud to be continuing our partnership with Aurelia Metals at the Federation Mine! From 1 October 2024, underground mine development, production activities, paste reticulation, and run-of-mine management operations carry on in a new 3 year contract. Redpath has recently added the Sandvik TH663i truck simulator to Redpath’s Training room at the head office in Brisbane. The new simulator adds to our existing LH621i loader simulator and our portable DD422i simulator. We can now train our operators on full motion simulators for our TH663i and TH551 trucks and LH621i and LH517i loaders. This provides Redpath the ability to elevate our operator skills, benchmark and ensure certifications are met, all while training in a controlled, safe environment. Redpath are improving the operational performance, knowledge and safety of our operators. Earlier this year, we proudly announced that RUC Mining officially joined the Redpath Australia - Mining Contractors and Engineers business following the approval of our share purchase agreement. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in our journey, and we are thrilled to share more about our progress! Last week, we reached another key #milestone by completing the rebranding of our Perth office, located in Burswood. It was truly rewarding to see our new Redpath signage come to life and to hand out our branded merchandise packs to our local office staff.
