What do you do when your mission suddenly doesn’t feel enough? Double it? Defy mathematics? Well that’s what we are going to do with our Spark Curiosity programme where 1 = 2. For every box funded through our partnerships we’ll donate one in our Spark Curiosity regions. We’ve always been focused on finding ways to remove barriers to accessing fun, practical science and engineering. This just enables us to do it more strategically by leveraging the many partnerships we’ve developed with social mobility charities, community orgs and education institutions since 2020. https://lnkd.in/e_RbihEQ #socialmobility #purposefulbusiness #smallbusiness #womeninbusiness #scienceforall #engineeringforall

💥 A survey conducted by the Charity Commission for England and Wales indicated that one of the most essential relationships to success for a charity, whether small (like the Muscle Help Foundation), medium or large is having corporate partnerships - 72% of charities said this 💥 For me, causal #belief is a fundamental attribute to any successful corporate partnership, especially one in the charity sector. Without belief, it's a non starter. Having felt the passion and energy of Gavin J. Auckland MD at Parallel Office and Document Solutions Ltd, I am excited to see how this new corporate partnership unfolds in helping the Muscle Help Foundation #charity deliver many more Muscle Dreams for vulnerable children like George (pictured below) with Muscular Dystrophy (MD). Put simply, it's all about these three words: CLICK 👍 - PRINT 🖨 - DONATE ❤️ MD is progressive. There's no cure. It's a cruel, relentless, debilitating condition that robs sufferers of their mobility, independence and finally for those with the most severe form, their lives. Through this partnership with Parallel Office and Document Solutions Ltd, I'm hopeful that both parties will achieve much more together, than perhaps we might on our own. Corporate partnerships can really change a charity's landscape. Over many years, I've learned that the best performing partnerships, the ones that are seen to effect real change, it's those that are underpinned by shared values and common goals. Partnerships that are #transformational can be a powerful force for good. With Gavin's drive and passion in not only helping all the #superstars at Parallel be the best they can be for their customers, but also wanting to help and support those living with MD and their families thrive through amazing, cherished moments-in-time that change lives and give hope, that's what Managed Print for Muscle Dreams is all about, that's the #powerof657! As it says on George's t-shirt 'NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE IN' - so remember, all you have to do is CLICK 👍 - PRINT 🖨 - DONATE ❤️ Why not get in touch with Parallel Office and Document Solutions Ltd, head to: www.parallel-group.co.uk or email: sluff@parallel-group.co.uk and discover why the #powerof657 drives the Muscle Help Foundation charity every day and the difference you can make. #partnership #csr #community

Think of all the demands you hear in an average day. ‘Put your shoes on’, ‘post this letter, or ‘please pay this bill’. Add in indirect demands like deadlines, rules, rotas, signs and instructions… the list is endless. Many of us are able to cope with demands like this. However, for people with a PDA profile of autism, these demands create huge levels of anxiety. Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) involves not being able to do certain things at certain times, for themselves or others. If they are unable to avoid the demand (through distraction, procrastination or excusing themselves), they may simply refuse, withdraw, ‘shutdown’ or escape in order to avoid it. This isn’t a deliberate choice, it’s an instinctive flight/fight/freeze response. It’s a case of can’t, not won’t. This can be extremely tough for individuals with PDA and their families and friends. PDA is often missed, misunderstood or misdiagnosed. The more we can raise awareness, the more people will benefit from having their needs understood and getting the support they deserve. As such, I’m very grateful that the TEAM LEWIS Foundation has given me the opportunity to make a donation to the PDA Society. This UK-based charity supports individuals with PDA, their families, and professionals. It provides information, training, and tailored support to enhance the understanding of PDA and improve the lives of those affected by it. It’s a tiny charity with limited income. Yet every year it has over 1 million website visits, trains over 4,000 people and offers specialist support to over 1,000 people. This year it has seen a 160% YOY increase in demand for its phone-based support service. This highlights the need for the amazing services it offers to understand this complex profile of autism and help people reach their full potential. We raised $662,996 in 8 weeks for charity. How did we do it? 👇👇👇 A group of philanthropists and purpose driven entrepreneurs made a commitment to join us on an incredible 3 year journey. How will their involvement help make a difference? ✅ Expand our efforts and help 6,000 more orphans and street children per week across every continent. ✅ Scale our operations globally to ensure more children have access to the essentials of a dignified life and education. In the next 3 years, our patrons will experience the difference they are making through: ✅ Visiting our scholarship academies around the world to see the impact of their support. ✅ Discussing our progress with other patrons. ✅ A 3 year documentary which captures the massive impact of our foundation. If you’re interested in being a part of this visionary group, follow the link in the comments section and join us today. And, if you are a patron already, comment below and say hi!

The Aviva Foundation is rounding off the year on a high 🙌 In 2024 they have supported over 20 charities and community groups, donating more than £2m. Their work has helped build the financial resilience of those who need it the most. And to top off the year they are supporting Autistica, the UK’s leading autism research charity, to launch a free app bringing together reliable information about autism into one place. The Aviva Foundation is supporting the app’s financial wellbeing section following feedback that financial resilience and money management were topics that autistic people were overwhelmingly looking for credible guidance on. It will also include tailored resources for people working in financial services to help them better understand how to cater for autistic people’s unique needs. 👉 https://lnkd.in/d9Qa4-Pv The Aviva Foundation is administered by Charities Trust under charity registration number 327489.

"The immediate “here and now” priorities continue to be at the forefront of the agenda for charity trustees and leaders. However, there is an imperative for charities to look forward and continue to scan the horizon for future risks and opportunities." Check out Daniel Chan's article: "Economic Outlook: An Imperative to Look Forward" on Charity Finance here: https://bit.ly/3XMdEva Based on recent economic data and surveys on AI, it underscores the need for proactive planning.
