Did you know that more than half of the women facing unplanned pregnancies who come to us find us online? In moments of desperation, they search for terms like "abortion" or "abortion pill," seeking answers, help, and someone who cares. Unfortunately, Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers often dominate the search results. We want to be there too. That's why it's crucial for us to invest in online advertising, using the same words women use when searching for information and help. We must reach her first—before she visits an abortion clinic or orders the abortion pill online. Why is reaching her FIRST so essential? Many women facing this decision feel alone and unsupported. They fear abandonment from the father or lack of support from friends and family. But here's the thing: Even in a culture where abortion seems like the only option, a high percentage of abortion-minded women will choose life if we can connect with them first. They're desperate for compassionate care and support that addresses their fears of abandonment and loneliness. So, help us reach them first. The fight for the health, lives, and dignity of pregnant people does not end here. Pregnancy criminalization existed before Dobbs, regardless of who was in the White House. We are prepared to address what lies ahead. We have historically defended people in the places with the most resistance, and we won’t stop now. We will continue to provide pro bono legal support to as many people facing criminal charges related to pregnancy as possible, advocate for laws that affirm pregnant people’s personhood, train thousands to combat pregnancy criminalization, and equip local attorneys with the blueprint to win cases. Abortion was the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S. between 2022 and 2023. Yesterday, I read the National Review's report on these figures. According to Planned Parenthood's annual report, 392,715 abortions were provided in one year. The National Review pointed out that if the CDC considered death by abortion in their "Leading Causes of Death Data," Planned Parenthood provided abortions would take fourth place. That figure doesn't include abortions provided by other abortuaries besides Planned Parenthood. And now I know that figure doesn't even include chemical abortions from mail-order abortion pills. Would abortion take first place as the leading cause of death in America? #defundplannedparenthood

Please consider donating to help women, girls and people who can become pregnant in #SouthCarolina. A medication #abortion in #SouthCarolina is an average of around $600. For the rare instance that #abortioncare seekers can get a "medically necessary" abortion at MUSC through one of the "exceptions" written into the state's 6-week ban, that cost is $3,100. Most people now have to travel out of state, which increases their financial burden, the financial burden, and puts a strain on clinics in non-ban states like #Virginia. This means the Palmetto State Abortion Fund are now helping callers find a clinic that can see them the quickest, as well as helping them figure out and pay for travel and lodging. Palmetto State Abortion Fund estimate that $750 is needed for each caller, and they can't always provide that. How Does Palmetto State Abortion Fund Use Your Donations? The entire team is ran by #volunteers, and their overhead is minimal (website, email software) so donations go directly to funding abortion care. They work with the clinics directly to ensure that patients are taken care of. They are funded by small-dollar donations, and receive no grant funding for direct services work.
