We are proud to announce that we have been named one of Front Office Sports 2024 Best Employers in Sports! Earlier this morning, Front Office Sports, the multi-platform media and news organization covering the business of sports, announced their recipients for the 2024 Best Employers in Sports. This recognition honors 30 outstanding organizations across the sports and entertainment industry for their commitment to their employees. Our organization has been honored to be included in this prestigious list for the third consecutive year (2019, 2020, and 2024). Notably, we are also the only NBA team recognized on this year's list. "We truly appreciate Front Office Sports for recognizing us as one of the sports industry’s best employers," said our very own Executive Vice President and Chief People, Diversity and Inclusion Officer Camye Mackey. "The Hawks and State Farm Arena are committed to building a culture of belonging where our people feel valued, supported, empowered and celebrated. We strive to create an environment that welcomes everyone, fosters growth, encourages involvement and recognizes the unique contributes of each employee." "Front Office Sports congratulates the Atlanta Hawks for being named one of our Best Employers in Sports for the third time," said Front Office Sports CEO Adam White. "The Hawks are a great example of what it means to be a leader in sports when it comes to employee wellbeing." The Best Employers in Sports Award recognizes organizations across the sports industry that are doing the best for their employees. Whether it is great leadership, commitment to diversity and inclusion, employee wellbeing, or philanthropic/social endeavors, the Best Employers in Sports Award looks to recognize organizations who do right by their employees. 🎾 Handling Time Off Requests for Sporting Events: Top Tips 🎾 It's that time of year - there are a lot of sporting events going on, including my personal favourite, Wimbledon. Understandably, many of your employees will be keen to get involved and watch their favourite events. But how do you handle requests for time off when there is still work to be done? 📝 Establish a Clear Policy - Make sure your time-off policy clearly outlines the process for requesting leave, especially during peak sporting seasons. This helps manage expectations and ensures fairness. ⏰ Encourage Early Requests - Encourage employees to submit their time-off requests as early as possible. This allows for better planning and reduces the likelihood of staffing shortages. 🕒 Consider Flexible Working Hours - If possible, offer flexible working hours or remote work options during major sporting events. This can help employees balance their work commitments with their passion for sports. ⚖️ Promote a Culture of Fairness - Ensure that time-off requests are handled equitably. Implement a first-come, first-served policy or rotate approvals to give everyone a fair chance. 🎉 Create a Fun Environment - Embrace the excitement! Organise viewing parties to boost morale and foster team spirit. Balancing work and personal passions is key to employee satisfaction and productivity. By being proactive and flexible, you can create a positive workplace culture that supports both professional and personal fulfillment. How does your company handle time-off requests during major sporting events? Share your experiences and tips below! 👇 #HR #EmployeeEngagement #WorkLifeBalance #FlexibleWorking #SportingEvents #HRStrategy #TeamSpirit

The Olympics may be over, but the spirit of international unity and competition is something that can fuel team morale, performance, and engagement in any workplace. When I was working at Purefoods, we used to have the Ayala Olympics. Now in my current employment, we have the annual MVP Olympics, where we include not only regular sports, but talent contests, and even parlor games as well. This article offers some useful ideas on how business leaders can create their own Office Olympics – from team building exercises to physical activities that promote mental and physical wellbeing. Even with the Closing Ceremony celebrated last weekend, the spirit of Citius, Altius, Fortius (Faster, Higher, Stronger) can continue. All business leaders can learn from the incredible efforts we saw from this year’s games, including the historic wins from our very own Carlos Yulo, and all of Team Philippines. #Olympics #teamwork #Paris2024 #futurefit #organizationalhealth #motivationmonday

Efficient vs. Extravagant corporate townhalls! 🌟 🎤 Townhalls: those grandiose gatherings where insights flow, strategies cascade, and budgets... well, they range from the cost of a fancy coffee break to, um, a small fortune. ☕💰 I've seen it all—events where the highlight was a modest spread (think $15/head, just enough for a snack and a sip), to virtual extravaganzas that could fund a small moon landing (yes, up to $80,000 🚀). It's not just about the numbers; it's a testament to how seriously some folks take their own image. 🎩📸 From well-crafted content efficiently curated by EAs alongside leadership input, to over-the-top Hollywood productions starring loyal "Leader" devotees, I've witnessed it all. And let me tell you, flashy videos don't necessarily boost employee morale—especially when there's a budget crunch for office sandwiches come Christmas. Hollywood glitz doesn't always translate to workplace happiness. What's your take on the ideal investment for these events? 💬 Is it about the spectacle or the substance? #TownhallTales #CorporateCommunication
