"We Believe in German Mittelstand: Impulses for an Economic Turnaround" Yesterday, PARMANTIER & CIE. attended the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management to discuss the future of the German economy with Christian Lindner, chairman of the FDP Freie Demokraten and former Federal Minister of Finance. Under the guiding motto “It’s the economy, stupid!”, Mr. Lindner delivered an inspiring keynote speech, outlining potential paths out of the current economic stagnation. The pressing question remains: How can Germany regain its innovative strength and global competitiveness? Current data highlights the urgency of the situation: In October 2024, the number of corporate insolvency filings in Germany rose by 22.9% compared to the previous year. (Source: Federal Statistical Office) In the first three quarters of 2024, business formations dropped by one-third compared to the same periods in previous years. (Source: Federal Statistical Office) The simultaneous rise in insolvencies and the stagnation of new business formations underscore the structural challenges facing our economy. Increasingly challenging conditions are placing significant pressure on existing businesses, while potential entrepreneurs hesitate to embark on new ventures. Germany needs change. At PARMANTIER & CIE., we firmly believe in the strength of German Mittelstand and are committed to supporting both new business ideas and established companies. However, without a decisive economic policy shift, Germany risks losing its reputation as a nation of poets, thinkers, and innovators. Now is the time for bold decisions. #Economy #FrankfurtSchool #Innovation #Mittelstand #ParmantierCie #Future

2wWhy should we believe in the strenght of german Mittelstand? Why should we wait for a political shift? That is not how economics works….Germany is already lost…and loosing every day. Christian Lindner is a part of the problem and by far not the solution. More action and less politics.
