Unlocking the secrets of single-cell spatial research starts with precise cell segmentation. 🧬 But that is no walk in the park because: 1️⃣ Cell shapes come in all forms 2️⃣ Cell sizes and shapes vary 3️⃣ Cell boundaries can be blurred 4️⃣ Segmentation techniques keep evolving 💡 Curious how CosMx SMI tackles these challenges? Find out here 👉 https://bit.ly/3PkchyO #SpatialBiology #singlecellspatial This post may include information regarding CosMx™ SMI products for RNA detection, which products are not available in the Federal Republic of Germany, as further described here - https://bit.ly/3s8JSDF

#CustomerPublicationWeekly #singlecellanalysis contributes to the improvement of human health by not only enabling precision medicine, but also facilitating better understanding and potential optimization of #crops. In a Nature Plants article published this month, #singlecellsequencing and #spatial analysis methods were used to define a spatial transcriptome map of the developing #maize ear. A total of 12 cell types, including 4 new cell types, were identified together with genes important for cellular and molecular functions, providing a valuable resource for research on cereal inflorescence development. Singleron's #GEXSCOPE Single Cell RNAseq Library Kit was used in this study. #plant

Join the upcoming #webinar on March 27th: "𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐲-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬" https://bit.ly/3uJGlwE Proteins represent the primary effectors of human biology, and evaluating the thousands of proteins that comprise the human #proteome and their post-translational modifications (PTMs) provides critical insight into cellular physiology and disease mechanisms that cannot be fully inferred from genomic data alone. In this webinar, we will discuss next-generation bioanalytical systems for #proteomics studies in humans. We will focus on high throughput, ‘discovery’ mass spectrometry proteomics as an analytical solution that now enables accurate and robust measure of thousands of proteins across thousands of individuals, while providing highly accurate protein identification and PTM information. Learn how this approach compares to other proteomics methods and its applications for advancing clinical #biomarkers. Register today!: https://bit.ly/3uJGlwE

Exploring the molecular state of the extracellular microenvironment: in this review article, Peggi M. Angel and collaborators at Medical University of South Carolina made an in-depth examination of the analytical hurdles encountered when attempting to spatially profile the proteome of the extracellular matrix https://lnkd.in/eCsRJutY The authors highlighted the potential of multimodal multiplexing techniques with cellular populations, aiming to offer a comprehensive understanding of disease processes that encompasses both the cellular and extracellular microenvironment. What's your go-to download before getting on a plane? ✈️ I don’t usually download a paper for every flight 😅, but this one was a gem I found early in the morning and thoroughly enjoyed on my way to Stockholm. It provided some very insightful perspectives on the ongoing discussions around #granulocytes. Here are a few key findings that I found particularly important: 💡 "We compared the transcriptional profile of #neutrophils at different time intervals after blood draw and observed that the number of differentially regulated genes, compared to the 0h time point, started to significantly increase 4 hours post-draw. Both upregulated and downregulated genes continued to increase at each subsequent time point." So fixation, locking the cell state might be the key especially for clinical studies! 💡 "Our analysis suggested that #10x FLEX captured the various white blood cell components in red blood cell-depleted samples at similar percentages to those identified by flow cytometry." 💡 "Remarkably, in the #FLEX data, we were able to identify a population of basophils—a rare and sensitive cell type constituting less than 1% of cells in peripheral blood. This cell type was not detected by other technologies." Be careful what you are missing! Definitely an insightful read for anyone interested in the intricacies of granulocyte research! https://lnkd.in/g_E4_3dR
