You crave the title, but dodge the grind...... A great 'quote' from the inspiring Ray Klaassens ("Je wilt t wel zijn, maar je wil t niet worden") translated into English. In a very successful Dutch television series, together with his staff of former special forces he puts 15 civilians, selected from over 2000 candidates, to the test to determine who could be worthy of upholding the special forces values. The series, already in its fifth season now, shows time and time again that there is a big difference between wanting to be worthy (of whatever it is you think you desire to be) and actually putting in all(!) effort needed to get to that position. As with many ambitions, without the proper actions they are nothing more but fantasies. Putting in the effort consistently, also when you do not feel like it, is the only thing that is in your control to reach your ambitions. So dreaming it, but skipping the road will not get you there. What will ? ✅️Take discipline over motivation; consistently showing up, even when motivation fades. ✅️Take action over planning; executing ideas instead of getting stuck in perfect plans. ✅️Resilience over Comfort; embracing discomfort and setbacks as part of the journey. Final tip: Of you find it hard to have discipline, join up with someone who is great at it and embrace the suck! #LeadersStartWithThemselves #Ambitions #Lead
Patrick Walthuis helemaal waar. Je bent zelf het levend voorbeeld hiervan.
Mooi gesproken Patrick!
Dit is een van mijn favoriete quotes: The magic you are looking for is in the work you're avoiding. Past hier ook wel bij.
It's not the circumstances, it's not the plan, it's the action that creates results. Be an action figure! 👊
Helemaal mee eens. It takes effort to achieve goals, its that simple. Wat dan die goals zijn is natuurlijk persoonlijk en verschillend 👏
Akkoord
Geweldig goede serie inderdaad . Die uitspraak is legendarisch en voor iedereen wel eens toepasbaar.
