In June the European Commission announced the launch of the Climate City Capital Hub, an international finance centre designed to support cities in securing funding and investment to achieve their climate goals. This initiative offers crucial support by providing access to financial advice and structuring, and expert advice and assistance to make city climate projects ‘investment ready’. The Climate City Capital Hub will provide wealth of resources and direct support for #MissionCities to navigate their unique climate funding challenges. — Access to financial advice and structuring — Expert advice and assistance to make climate projects 'investment ready' — Connections to public and private investors to turn plans into reality Services delivered by the Climate City Capital hub will cover both mitigation and adaptation efforts within the EU Mission on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities and the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, ensuring a holistic approach to addressing climate change. This announcement was made during the 3rd Cities Mission Conference in Valencia, attended by South Pole's Mara Menz and Hans-Peter Egler. South Pole will contribute to this work going forward, providing technical assistance and expertise.
