How much time and fuel do you use taking samples to get tested during harvest? 🚜 “In agriculture we simply don’t measure enough, or as frequently as we should because of the tyranny of distance, timeliness of information and cost,” explained Peter Johnston, Managing Director of agritech measurement scaleup, Hone Ag. Seven years on and 13 hardware iterations later, Hone Ag’s spectroscopic models and in-field capabilities continue to bloom, from grain quality and protein levels, to leaf tissue testing and soil carbon analysis – clearly demonstrating its value across various primary industry applications. 🌾 Hone is now seeking investment partners to continue to grow and scale their application. 🚀 Read more on growAG 👉 https://bit.ly/3W5REuj

I’m working on collaborative projects at Fera Science Ltd. and we have some exciting new projects coming forward very soon that deal with pressing production and environmental challenges on farms. These projects bring together a range of partners, in a pre competitive way to work together to solve a problem. See more on how all of this works here and existing projects https://lnkd.in/egreNF8K The clue is in the title with our collaborative research - it’s collaborative! This means this is a two way discussion with farmers, growers, food companies and others. We have ideas from scientists that we see can solve problems but we also need to hear from industry to know more about the challenges they face. Our approach at Fera is all about the practical application of world class scientific expertise. So then farmers, growers, land owners, food companies. What problems do you face that need a scientific solution? What thorny issues are frustrating you that need more attention? What one thing on your farm, on your estate, in your business would you like to sort out? What needs to work better and what could be solved by people working together? Please comment below! Small print: We believe we are good at what we do but we have absolutely zip control over the weather, politics and global commodity prices.
