What are your goals for the week to invest in you? Evidence supports prioritizing one or two goals increases the likelihood of achieving outcomes compared to having goals but not prioritizing. In fact, by prioritizing two goals, it appears it does not negatively impact performance on additional goals you select but do not prioritize. SO what does this mean? Prioritize YOU! Smile. Today is the last day of The Menopause Summit and I have saved the best for last!! Today we are speaking about changing our approach to navigating menopause, nutrition, exercise, yoga, pelvic floor health and diversity in the menopause conversation. I wish I could tell you that I have a favourite speaker today but the truth is that each one is amazing. Here are 3 take aways from today's speakers: ✔️What worked for you before will just not be working for you anymore and you need to understand how to adapt and embrace your changing body. ✔️The things that we have always thought about losing weight need to be totally re-examined. The eat less exercise more and lose weight paradigm does NOT apply. ✔️ Menopause is not just a "white woman" experience. We need to start understanding the range of ways menopause shows up for women. I’m curious to spark a thoughtful discussion: Should we pursue medical interventions to delay menopause, or is it more beneficial to let it allow it to occur and then treat with a curated plan? It’s fascinating to note that delayed menopause is associated with a longer lifespan, prompting deeper reflection on our choices and societal views surrounding this crucial phase of life. I invite you to share your thoughts and insights on this topic. Your experiences can help shape our understanding of menopause and its implications for women’s health. Looking forward to hearing from you! #Menopause #WomensHealth #HealthcareDebate #DrSomiJavaid #LifeTransitions
