🚆 Nurminen Logistics Acquires Essinge Rail to Expand Its European Network Nurminen Logistics, a Finnish logistics company, has agreed to acquire Essinge Rail, a Swedish freight operator, to enhance its position between the Nordic countries and Europe. The deal is expected to close in December, pending regulatory approval. It will expand Nurminen’s rail transport network, offering more low-emission logistics services across Europe, including Less-than-Container-Load (LCL) options for smaller shipments. A new sustainable route opens for Finnish export companies 🍰 Nurminen Logistics is opening a rail connection from Haparanda and Umeå to the port of Gothenburg. The export companies of Northern and Western Finland can reduce their emissions by using our hybrid ferry Aurora Botnia and electric rail to transport their goods towards Gothenburg and global ocean-crossing routes.
