🌍 Thrilled to have recently spoken to the YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa, Accra Cohort 51 along with my fellow cohort member Damilola Adelowo with the session moderated by Sarah Kpoh as they embark on their journey in the Emerging Leaders Training Program! As a proud alumna of Cohort 47, I shared my experience navigating the program while working a full-time role and offered insights on how to make the most of this transformative opportunity. Here’s what I covered: 🕒 Time Management: Balancing YALI training with a full-time job was challenging, but planning my day and setting specific goals helped immensely. Keeping a structured schedule and carving out focused time for modules and group discussions made all the difference. I encouraged them to do same, remembering that being consistent was better than being perfect. 🌱 Post-Training Pathways: I emphasized the importance of finding an internship or community service role that aligns with their passion and goals. This practical application of skills deepens the YALI experience and will allow them to contribute to positive change within their community. 📑 Report Writing Tips: I provided strategies for writing the post-training report, focusing on clarity, impact measurement, and reflecting on lessons learned to truly capture their journey. YALI is more than training; it’s a chance to grow, #network, and shape change. Wishing Cohort 51 all the best on this exciting path to making a difference across West Africa! Glad I had the opportunity to pay it forward! 🧡 💡 #YALIRLC #EmergingLeaders #Cohort47 #Cohort51 YALI Network #TimeManagement #YALIWA #CommunityImpact #Leadership #mentorship #YALIC47 #YALIC51 #YALIwestafrica #YALI #YALInetwork YALI Africa
